Anyway...back on topic...I think Lucario's form has SLIGHT basis on Anubis (Who is my fave Egyptian God...thing) but the whole obsession of Mewtwo=Lucario is ticking me off. I lot of pokemon are built like that...though the "Shorts" joke with Lucario and Mewtwo on DeviantART was HILARIOUS! (Esp. the Youngster saying "Word")

Personally, I don't mind thread necromancy, but other moderators do. Just as a word of advice, I wouldn't suggest posting in a thread that's more than a month old in other sections of this forum.

As for the anubis thing... it COULD be a possibility, but doubtful. Just because he's not a legendary doesn't mean he can't be based off a legend though, keep in mind.

It's possible that the designers drew some inspiration off Anubis. As they look similar and theres plenty of interesting ideas to use in mythology. But I doubt he's solely based on Anubis. Whilst minor elements are there he is not intended to like purely like an egyptian god. I mean for gods sake this isn't Yu-gi-oh where everything is part egyptian. And if anyone continues to say he is a total Anubis clone, tell them that Blaziken must then be a chunky version of Horus with spikes on his head.

Lucario is based loosely on Anubis in looks alone. I'd say he's more jackel like, but the looks between Anubis and Lucario are similar. Who knows, really.
