Travis heard what Lydia said, he could feel a variety of emotions from her. He finished chewing his sandwich before responding. "I think that if given time, humans will accept us and then we won't have to hide anymore. I really want that to happen." He said before drinking his soda.

Belatedly, Nils made his way into the dining hall, having killed some time on the way here to avoid any particularly strenuous confrontations. Though he could plainly see that the students here were socialising, he felt an overwhelming sense that there was a distinct dearth of any real activity going on, which bothered him only slightly more than it ought to have done. Still not particularly hungry-- it must be one of those days, he told himself-- he avoided picking up any food, and went to sit at a table near to, but not among, the others who were already here.

Lydia pondered over what Travis said for a few seconds before responding. "But... Everyone fears the unknown... Would humankind really take the news well? Some people might, but as a whole, they'd more than likely freak out. The result could potentially be cataclysmic."
