Nintendo World Mystery Gift Hoax

Wait, is there actually any proof that it was that guy who was responsible for this?

I was there, but... I guess I left fairly early, so I didn't see anyone getting blamed for it. I heard the announcement about how you shouldn't download a mystery gift because it could corrupt your game, but that was it. My friend and I were talking about how we should try downloading it anyway, to see what would happen, but we just took their word for it.

I really regret not going to this event now because Echdina said no matter how dull it was he would've still gone just for the sake of going. Looks like I was wrong this was far from dull lol

The cosplayer (named James Craven) has posted a comment on Pokésav, asking to remove his picture. Apparently, the person who was arrested matched his description, and both of them attended the event. So allegedly, fenzo666 made an honest mistake and confused the two individuals.

But Argy's discovery changes the picture entirely. If an arrest was made, and fenzo666 is clearly pretending to be an innocent party despite evidence of his being complicit, there is more to this story than pointless Internet drama between Bulbanews and Pokésav. I would say that we should look into what has been happening at NYPD, but I am not an American citizen and still find it hard to swallow that an Internet prank has led to a rather serious offense.
 
It's not known if the cosplayer was arrested, or simply escorted out, or if Fenzo was the cosplayer, period. If Fenzo WAS involved in this, and criminal charges can be made (on accessory), I hope he's prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

But Argy's takedown was amusing to say the least.
 
Possibly it wasn't Fenzo who was sending out the modified Wonder Card at NWS, seeing how he apparently lives in Canada. Probably it was someone else who lives closer and who was working together with Fenzo, who took care of spreading the wrong information.

Yeah, it has been pointed out multiple times that the person in the photo has no beard.
 
Kinda not really a good April Fool's joke if it's done MORE THAN A WEEK EARLY.
 
Read Fenzo666's talk page, his "buddy" Poryhack uploaded it via a sockpuppet, also inserting false information into pages. Only problem is I can't block him: STUPID SERVER ERRORS!

If you want to know, the error is:
