Plot
For a reason unknown, in the last 15-20 years people have been born with a combination of human and Pokemon DNA, giving them traits and abilities of Pokemon but still being unique people. Since this outbreak, the 5 leaders of all regions declared that these "hybrids" can participate in Pokemon battles and be their own trainers or be trained, but cannot become trainers. These people have the strength, endurance, and the Abilities of a pokemon, but a fused mind and appearance between the two. Most of these hybrids just live life like it's nothing unusual and never use their unique abilities for battling purposes. Though, a new battling school has opened up just outside of Sootopolis City and is taking registrations for regular trainers and hybrids alike.
A flyer has been sent out across every single region, to every single town, and to every single doorstep for this school. The only requirement to get in is that you have at least 3 battle fit Pokemon or that you are a hybrid willing to battle, and that you want to become a trainer and/or a battler. Everything else is provided for by the school, literally anything you want the school will give you just for attending. Just hop on the ferry to Sootopolis City at the given date below and if you show them the flyer the trip there is free!
