Some corals adjusting to warmer ocean temperatures

The article mentions this once at the bottom, but ocean acidification is probably a much bigger concern, since that dissolves the coral's exoskeleton and kills them. People shouldn't rely on evolution to solve this problem, even if coral has adapted to temperature differences.

That is absolutely true, and it's a point I missed!
