Zoroarks are incapable of disguising their shadows because they are not physically changing, just casting illusions. In other words, a Zoroark disguised as a mudkip would still have the shadow of a Zoroark. It's just like if a mage were to cast an illusion spell of a vertical rod, the rod wouldn't cast a shadow because it is not really there.
