I'm just a little curious. And I haven't even beaten Roark in Platinum yet, so I haven't even seen the Battle Castle.

Any input?
 
Caitlin is a spoiled princess who watches trainer battles for her amusement.
 
She doesn't feel like it, simple as that. Who does things because they don't feel like it?
 
Remember the dude from the deoxys movie who couldn't battle because he was scared of pokemon... or maybe Caitlin is too lazy to battle and she jjust hired Darach to battle instead. Either way, Darach still pwns. ANYONE who uses a Gallade does.

But Darach specifically states that she CANNOT battle, not that she doesn't want to.

What did you expect? You asked a question that no one could possibly know the answer to.

I like my answer. It's as good as any, and it adds an interesting-ish twist to the castle.
 
I know, it just seemed like an amusing topic for speculation.

Maybe Caitlin is really a Stepford Wives-type robot who's only programmed to say 'Darach! CP for this trainer at once!'.
