What Button Do You Press?

When people are trying to catch Pokémon, I've noticed some people press a certain button, in the belief that it helps them succeed in capture. Even though it doesn't.
Do you press a button during a capture? If so, which one do you press? Or do you do something totally different?

Personally I just hold down A. I know it does nothing, but sometimes the harder I push it down, the more times the Pokéball wobbles... it doesn't effect it, but... it feels like it.

um, usually some odd combination of buttons. Usually A and B.

I prefer the ever popular innapropriate screaming technique.

GET IN THERE YOU (insert your favorite swear here):complain:

(Gen I-III)
I press an arrow button either down or right in order to highlight "ITEM", "PACK" or "BAG". Then I press the A button to access the bag menu. I search the relevant ball by using the diagonal buttons. Once I find it, I press A twice.

(Gen IV)
I use my fingers. Or stylus. Depending on my mood.

tl;dr: it's useless to press buttons during the catching process.

I smash B... hard. (Just kidding.)

Sometimes I press the down arrow but I generally don't press anything
