Look at the Japanese air-dates of DP and AG, they both started the same week the games were released. FR/LG and HGSS are just remakes so the writers don't need to line those up, but with full gens its a different story.

Yes, except we don't have any release date for those new games, cause we barely have any information about them as it is... Anyway, if we go by the past, it would indicate a mid to end november release date, so about 35 episodes after DP164 airs...

But we can't be sure of anything since there's no confirmation that this is indeed Gen V (although it sure looks like it) and what the release date will be...

Rowan is mentioned... I'm not sure at all and someone should properly translate it, but I think Pip wants to return to Rowan because it can't live with Gible anymore XDDD

As I said, someone should properly translate this... I'm not sure, but it makes sense to me that Pip will try to return to Rowan because of Gible rather than Rowan randomly appearing near Sunnyshore

That is the most hilarious thing that could happen in this episode. I'd just love Rowan to be looking through a microscope and Piplup comes in.

Well I'm from the "The more Gible screentime the better" school, so this ep looks good. I think it's awesome that Professor Rowan is at least mentionned in the episode and that Piplup is considering returning to him... Beats the "Piplup gets lost in forest" scenario to a bloody pulp. I also love the relationship between Dawn and Piplup. Overall, it should be a good episode.

If they do, then they must be really stupid.

I believe in this episode, they will try give us a fake hope that he won't return never again, only to return a bit later.

This episode will be the greatest Rick-roll writers ever done since Jindai and Shinji's relationship. Or to be more accurate Pocha-roll.

Exactly, Piplup is great for comedic reasons and also has an interesting personnality we'd never seen before as he's a little overconfident and a bit of a rebel, but at the same time he's sweet and he's got seperation issues... All around a more well-rounded character... but that doesn't take away from the fact that he's also there to be funny...

Do the writers expect us to care what happens to Piplup ? Yes and no. Yes, if they think they can get a tear outta you, they'll go for it and No, because to them this is probably just a filler episode to cool down the pace a bit. Going from last contest + Monferno evolution directly into battle v Flint + Battle v Volkner is suicidal, would wear out the audience a bit and make it very Clash of the Titans for about a month or two. So they slipped a little light comedy filler to lighten the mood before heading into the final stages of DP...

Should be funny, if not, there's always Gible in it and flint next week.

Piplup running away from the group because it keep getting hit with Gible attacks its really funny.

I don't no why some people think there won't be a filler arc after the Sinnoh League because non of you guys even no what's going to happen at the end of Sinnoh and there is a lot of time for the writers to do a filler saga before the 5 gen comes out.
