Do you feel sorry for Wobbufet being left behind?

I'm not sorry for Wobbuffet, I'm more sorry for the VA, who also did Brock.

...why? Having to show up for most dubbing sessions of the series just to say one word isn't a particularly wanted situation.
Sonansu appears in most episodes, but rarely says much at all - that's not a character you want to have as your only role, which is likely the exact reason they cast a VA who was already playing a main character in the role.

and it also makes it harder for a Brock cameo

No it doesn't.

Maybe they gave it to the boss? It is über after all.
Imagine Wobbuffet appearing during Giovanni's transmitions!

Giovanni: Worthless idiots! You have failed me for the last time! For your insolence, you will feel a world of pain!
*Pokeball opens*
Wobbuffet: That's the way it is!

Wait, what happened to Wobbuffet? I don't really like to know too much about an episode before it's dubbed in English, but since Wobbuffet is my favorite Pokémon in the show, I'd like to know it.
Are they just 'not showing him', or did he really go away (I mean, was there a goodbye scene or something)?

No goodbye scenes at all. Jessie and James left their Pokemon at Team Rocket base because Giovanni doesn't want them to look like foreigners in Isshu.

Not only Wobbuffet, I feel sorry for everyone from the TRio. According to Giovanni, Meowth should have been left behind too. LOL

Did Boss' secretary say something about Meowth? He thought about his Kanto origins himself.

Hmm, Jessie and James have three pokéballs. Could they get three pokémon each in this region?

Anyway, on topic; I'm really feeling a mixed bag here. Sure, I miss Wobbufet, considering he has been there since Johto, but I'm actually really happy too. Team Rocket are obviously pulling off a much more 'Serious' style this time round; just like the first series. And could they really be considered serious if every time they say the motto, a very funny Pokémon pops out beside them and starts sreaming. No, I doubt it. It suits the new look so I can only be pleased.

I would love him to appear in a cameo or something, though. That would be funny.

People don't realize that eventually, TR WILL get some blasting offs. Then, Wobbu will be absent.
And the comedy scenes too.

-Actually you should hate his secretary. :-D

I'm mad at all of them.
But maybe they will get their Pokémon back? When they won't look like strangers anymore? When people hear about TR doing evil stuff all over Isshu, they will quickly realise that TR isn't from Isshu, IMO.

Iris may have already known that, judging by her reaction when she saw Meowth in Isshu. So I don't understand why Giovanni allow Meowth to come to Isshu when he doesn't allow the others to come.

Remember that since the Pokémon are simply kept at the TR headquarters it's just like Ash's Pokémon who are kept at Oak's - which means we might see them again...
Also notice how Jessie got 3 balls and James got 3 balls too... most of us assume each will catch 3 new Pokémon and that means they'll still have 3 free spaces left... Jessie deposited 3 Pokémon at he headquarters and James just 2
That means that maybe, at the later parts of Isshu, for some reason (having some serious battles against Plasma or important TR mission or whatever?) they might get these Pokémon back since they have space for them all on their teams, assuming the "only 6 at a time" applies to them

I can definitely see them coming back at the end of BW. Especially if this is going to be their last series (which given the foreshadowing of Rocket vs Plasma certainly looks like it could be the case). Fingers crossed!

Neither do I. English dubbers should better think of some other reason for keeping Wobbuffet & co. behind, and replace this idiotic original reason, or I'm gonna be really mad once i start watching BW.

But I am afraid Giovanni is already using the TRio's Pokémon for evil purposes and would not return them to the TRio.

(Hold on, what Plasma foreshadowing?)

Anyway. I am still pretty peeved about this, but as I've mentioned before it's because the Voice Actors's main roles have been taken away, so it's slightly inconvinient to bring them back just to voice one pokemon every week. Especially with Wobbuffet - as the Voice Actor is Brock's.. so he's not around as much. (he also voices Mimey who also did not appear) Which is why I wonder the reason they left is because these characters have left too.. like Paul and Brock. Maybe, maybe not.

It's a shame, but it was pretty obvious something like this would happen - though they could have done with a flashback at the least.

I seriously doubt VAs have anything to do with this, or at least they're not the main reason for this...
They obviously wanted to mimic what the games did - there are ONLY new Pokémon in Isshu
So they simply removed all older ones from the main cast except of the two who "have" to be there (Pikachu and Meowth)
They could easily keep them if they wanted and either let the VAs do these tiny roles if they wanted, use old recordings (they sure have more than enough of Wobbuffet) or simply give them new VAs (that already happened like with Dawn's Buneary)

I guess the real reason behind is that Giovanni want to use their Pokémon for evil purposes. So he simply make up a nonsense reason.
