Preview of the conclusion of the Rocket-Dan's meteorite plot

Right now I'm bettin' on a fancy Quick Attack powered up from the Meteorite.
Rehash Throw-back to the Groudon thing in Hoenn? :p

I looked up the Gen V moves Pika can learn; I think it's one of the following:
Wild Charge
Volt Change
Return

It would be weird if its Wild charge since its a less powerful Volt Tackle.

Return on the other hand....

^Ash and Pikachu's Bond + Return = PWNAGE, but sadly, i doubt it will be Return... i think its the meteorite.

Ya I have to agree however pikachu has not gained a move in like 4 years the last new move it learned was volt tackle and that was a LONG TIME AGO!

I hope it's Return =)
TP and TR wouldn't stand a chance aginst Pikachu then XD
Plus Pikachu hasn't learned a new move since Volt Tackle, back in Battle Frontier.

I just hope this isn't a letdown like the Galactic finale. Set up so awesomely only to completely fail in the last five minutes, undoing so many months of awesome.

Oh well.

Gio, man, what's your malfunction? You didn't get this excited when you had frickin' MEWTWO in the palm of your hand.

You know, I get that the anime agents are usually so much more awesome than the game ones, but I kinda wish they'd take this opportunity to write in the HGSS Rocket execs.

....

O.O

I think I might actually check out Black and White... even though I might feel a tad bit too old to be watchin' it. The Pokemon anime just took another level in badass since the Galactic arc, imo.

Too old? You do realize there are many fans in their 20's still watching the series?

Even fans who are 13-16 r still watchin'.

Btw someone mentioned that we wouldn't see TR's old Pokemon because the voice actor left. Why would they just stop because of that? They have replaced many voice actors over the years including Meowth so why not just do it for the old Pokemon? We could potentially see them again (And maybe I am wrong but wouldn't Giovanni have a new VA? I thought I heard the person who did him passed away years ago?).

First of all, Nyasu has never been replaced. That was only in the dub. Second, yes you are correct that Sakaki's VA was replaced because the original actor died.

As for the reason the Rockets old Pokemon aren't appearing, I'll have to disagree with Dogasu that it's because of voice actors. In my opinion, the reason is that OLM clearly doesn't want any old Pokemon sans Pikachu and Nyasu in the show at the moment. Saying that Musashi and Kojiro would look suspicious was just some bs excuse.

Ive got a feeling that the trio is going to team up with the "twerps" to defete team plasma, then revert to their old ways

I highly doubt this. The producers didn't change the Rockets only to change them again 20 episodes later. Like it or not, they're staying like this until at least Isshu (not to be confused with Best Wishes) is over.

Yeah, this is basically Magma Vs. Aqua just DONE RIGHT. It amazes me how far the writers have come with the villains.

This looks to top even Pokehunter J and Galactic, which I didn't think was possible.

Most likely this TR/Plasma war will be dragged on till the end of Isshu, probably right before the 8th Gym or so and then I imagine the plots will be resolved. We'll see what happens then.

It seems like any conclusion to this will be a letdown, because it has to lead to a "to be continued". We know Rocket will be around for a while, and Plasma has to last till near the end of Unova.

What has been said about this has already been said many times. But this looks very epic, I have never seen that many explosions in Pokemon. And especially man-made ones at that. Plus destroying a city like that? Having a Pokemon Hyper Beam a building? Rocket-Dan vs Plasma-Dan? And most importantly- Rocket-Dan finally getting an epic arc? Who said Pokemon can't be epic and just look kiddy? Even if the plot ends up not being that great, with the amount of explosions and stuff I would not care. I'd be focused on what I see in it the whole time because it will look awesome.

If he is appearing, I'm expecting N to keep himself hidden (like by those hooded cloaks) and reveal himself at the end of this arc. But not to anybody in the show, just to the audience. And then I expect Satoshi and the others to meet N several times not knowing who he is until finally learning he's the leader of Plasma-Dan, etc. Because, as said, after this arc it obviously won't be the last we'll see of them- Plasma-Dan would've just appeared. And the anime follows the game's route on organizations.

Yeah, I see something like that happening if N does appear. He should be appearing, shouldn't he? He is the leader of Plasma-Dan after all. Wouldn't make sense for the leader of an organization not to appear. And, as you know, the anime has always had the leader of an organization from the games appear, so no doubt they'll do it with Plasma-Dan. Oh and this plot must be an arc, mustn't it? I don't think they can fit that much in one ep.

The reason I'm convinced it's because of the VA thing is because Ueda Yuuji hasn't done any voices for Best Wishes!, period. If he was still coming into the studio and doing voices for other humans / pokemon and Sonansu and the others were *still* gone, then yeah, I'd be making the same conclusions you are. But it can't just be a coincidence that the pokemon he voiced are written out of the show the moment he leaves.

I think maybe OLM saw that older pokemon don't show up in Black & White (well, before the Four Heavenly Emperors, anyway) and used the "no older pokemon" thing as a convenient excuse to start cutting corners. I can't imagine Ueda Yuuji works for cheap these days.

I imagine money will be a factor when Shin'ichirou Miki, Inuyama Inuko, and especially Hayashibara Megumi finally leave the show.

Saying that Musashi and Kojiro would look suspicious was just some bs excuse.

Well, at least we can agree on that.

What exactly is Giovanni hoping to gain from the meteorite? Merely a confrontation with Team Plasma? Was that at all explained?

Or is the animation the only thing that matters about this episode?

Obviously.

I think he wants the meteorite as some new type of energy source, or something equally vague like that. The phrase "the power of the sun" can be heard in the preview, IIRC.

Remember when the Rocket-Dan was all about stealing pokemon and making money? *shrugs*

Then I don't see what that has to do with Team Plasma, who in the games are solely concerned with setting Pokémon free. If Team Rocket aren't even using Pokémon (other than Jessie's Woobat), why should Team Plasma care? Only Geechisu has his eyes set on ruling Unova, and he keeps those thoughts to himself.

It's funny because Team Plasma would definitely take issue with Team Rocket's agenda in Kanto and Johto, but not with this.

Since Team Rocket steals Pokemon for a living obviously Team Plasma will interfere. And Team Rocket is known in Unova by an Officer Jenny surely Team Plasma would too.
