Pokémon Evolution/Capture/Release Thread

Because Iris catches Emolga in BW027, I think Bianca (or maybe even Cilan) may have gotten something in BW026. If so, what are your guesses?

I'm going with Tympole for Bianca. For some reason, I can see her with a Seismitoad in the league. Also, its base form has that weird/cute factor going for it that I find fitting with Bianca.

If Cilan got something, I can see it being Swanna as a user has already mentioned. It has that certain elegance to it that fits with Cilan's character. However, fully evolved Pokémon rarely get caught, so I don't know...

I'm really just hoping that neither of them caught Basculin or Alomomola. I'm not trying to hate on them or anything, but Pokémon that can't battle on land tend to get shafted in this show (Misty's Horsea and Goldeen, Zoey's Lumineon).

Might be a coincidence, but Tympole's big in Japan, and a little birdie told me that Bianca's popular, too. It'd be like Gary Oak catching Mudkip or Smugleaf.
 
Yeah, I would fucking LOVE IT if someone got a member of the Tympole family...particularly Palpitoad.

Was kind of wondering if Dent would get one in DP 26...and now, that'll be epic if he did, and it'll randomly pop up now unexpected since the episode was skipped. You know, you jerks who watch the episodes live will be watching 27 later tonight and all of a sudden, that evil little grin pops up.

See, I would agree that Tympole would be a perfect Pokemon for Bianca, so it's nice to see someone else have the same idea that I've had. Also, I think Cilian did catch a pokemon during the fishing tournament. Judging by the title, it just might be Alomomola or Basbulin :thumbd:. Btw: I can also imagine Bianca with any of the following Pokemon:
Watchog, Munna, Cubchoo, Elgyem, or even Simipour.
It's great that now, in Pokemon Best Wishes/Black and White, there breaking the normal pattern of pokemon. Examples: Ash using 7(+) Pokemon, Ash having more than one major type (grass of all types), A gym leader/demi-gym leader having types other than the ones they work with (Iris with Excadrill and Emolga, Dento with Dwebble, plus the potential for all of Ash's Starters to Evolve. It is getting harder and harder to predict each characters Pokemon! I never once in a million years thought Ash would get Scraggy and Sewaddle!
 
Who else thinks that little ice polar bear will be a future Iris capture? I think that's far more likely to be her 4th pokemon than anything else at the moment.
 
i honestly think emolga can help train excadrill.
step 1 release both pokemon
step 2 emolga use attract
step 3 tell emolga to tell excadrill to use an attack
step 4 excadrill does move
step 5 repeat steps 2 thru 4 as needed
 
I don't think Excadrill needs much training. He just needs to learn to obey Iris.

Ash hasnt gotten an Ice-type in a while... and considering he's gotten one in each Odd-numbered Generation, he's likely to get one this generation. Cubchoo is the only fitting Ice-type for Ash from Gen V.... sorry fans of ice cream & a crying snowflake. Not too sure about Iris getting an Ice-type.

And I think that Cubchoo fits more Iris than Ash.

There is no pattern of Ash getting ice types.

Ash could potentially make maybe 2 or more captures this gen.

That's debatable because I'm not entirely sure why Iris needs another cute Pokemon nor why of all cute Pokemon she needs Cubchoo. That thing really doesn't offer Iris anything more than it would Ash. Bearctic with Icicle Crash would benefit Ash quite a bit. Beartic would be an interesting Pokemon.

I feel like the only reason to give Iris a Cubchoo is because it would mean Ash wouldn't get it.

Cubchoo, Golett, and Elgyem are the top 3 marketable choices for Ash. Just exactly what the hell is Ash supposed to catch if Iris gets Cubchoo, Trip gets Golett, and Elgyem goes to James (for whatever stupid reason despite James torturing it).

Krokorok? Please don't make me laugh, for me it was either Scraggy or Sandile/Krokorok, not both.

This isn't a real pattern. The majority of the patterns people think there are are shit. Just like how everyone thought Turtwig wasn't going to evolve because of some made up grass pokemon pattern. The writers give characters pokemon they think will fit them, sometimes they're of certain types, sometimes they're of other types. There's no set rule about captures having to be of certain types other than the general coverage of water, grass, fire, and flying.

Original Series: Cool
Advanced Generation: Wimp
Diamond and Pearl: Cool
Best Wishes: Wimp

Next series will surely have a cool fire type starter... :-D

I disagree Torkoal waas emotional, cryed at a lot of things but never seemed to be scared or pathetic, and Tepig just has confidence issues

Agreed, dose anyone have an idea why the writers are putting them through Unova so quickly? At the end of the day there is not much between each town

I like this personality, is it just me or do the confirmed female Pokemon always seem to have the most intresting personlitys, though in Tranquil and Snivy's case not much story yet

I'd pefer that go to Ash, though I'd rather it not go to any of the mains, however, like I have said before, I trust the writers will do somthing intresting with whatever is caught, thats why I didn't mind Sewaddle
