Re: The Ash x Serena Thread
So I made this creepypasta (or so I was told it was) as a response to a prompt entitled
What do you think the significance of the handkerchief is?
Well you see, once upon a time Ash wasn't such a good person. He used to be an even wilder child than he already is. The reason for that was because one day he was cutting pokepreschool class (because who needs to be literate or do math? NERDS THATS WHO) and went out as a little kid into the dark and musty forest of route 1. There is a very good reason why the general restrictions for travel is 10 years of age and a starter. There was even a sign on the road saying PEOPLE UNDER TEN WITH NO POKEMON NOT ALLOWED TO CROSS.
But since literacy is FOR NERDS. Ash went on his merry way.
Unlike what the games wanted people to think, route 1 had more to it than a few ledges and patches of tall grass. For one it took longer than 30 seconds to cross, for 2 one could go through the trees. Ash saw a sign with an ursaring on it with the words saying DANGER DO NOT ENTER at a small trail off to the side of the road. As he was marveling at how awesome the pokemon must have been, a wild ratata ran past him into the woods, ash gave up trying to read the sign (BECAUSE READING IS FOR NERDS) and took off running after the ratata.
Because Delia Ketchum was a single mother with no credentials whatsoever she was incapable of getting a real job. Instead she lived off handouts from professor oak while doing odd jobs around Pallet for very little money to feed her son. (This would all change when ash started placing in pokemon leagues years down the line with all his prize money going to her) Her best friend and fellow poor single mother was an underground Rhyhorn racer named Grace. While she practiced her art in at night, during the day she would often babysit Ash and her daughter Serena while Delia scrubbed floors and washed clothes for a living.
Serena was the same age as Ash, but he didn't like her very much. The reason was that she could read which made her a nerd. And ash didn't like nerds. Always pracing around with their books and their pencils. He didn't need any of that because he was going to be a pokemon master. And pokemon masters were cool. And cool people are not nerds.
After school was over, Grace went to pick up the children while Delia was working late cleaning Oak's lab. She found her way over to her daughter and asked, "WHere's Ash?" Turned out Serena had no idea. Gary didn't know either. No one at Pallet Preschool knew where Ash ketchum went. Grace quickly escorted Serena home before retriveing her rhyhorn and leading it around Pallet on foot. The reason for that being Kanto Transportation law #345 section Q article 421. The riding of any pokemon while not on water is strictly prohibibited and will be fined with 15 years in prison if caught. Said draconic law was passed due to large amounts of Graft from the bicicyle shop owner who obtained his wealth with a monopoly on $1,000,000 bicycles.
Meanwhile back on route 1, Ash ran deeper and deeper into the forest until he tripped and fell onto the ground. The Ratata was long gone. There was a growi in the air. Ash of course was not scared. He was going to be a pokemon master after all. And Pokemon masters never got scared because all Pokemon are loving and caring creatures. He crawled on all fours into a clearing and saw a mangled Ursaring corpose lying on the ground. It's head was completely missing with a bloody hole on the top of what remained of its chest. Large bloody scratches bisected the bear all over with bone showing everywhere as the assailant devoured chunks of delicious Pokemon. Ash carefully tried to walk away when he suddenly stepped on one of Ursaring's eyes and slipped. As his head hit the ground all ash could see was stars and before he knew what happend a large weight suddenly landed on Ash's chest, took a great big bite out of Ash's chest and was gone. The last thing he saw before fainting from blood loss was the full moon.
Serena couldn't sleep that night. She could still hear the argument Delia had with Grace when the former returned to find her child missing. Despite Ash always calling her names and stealing her books, she for some strange reason had developed a crush on him. Maybe it was the way he always made her feel smart by failing so hard at school a F would be too generous a grade, or it could be how he looked. Grace should really keep a better handle on her stash of the Rhyders of Rhyhorn Calenders if she didn't want Serena to be corrupted by the images. Serena decided she was going to go look for ash himself. She bought along her lucky handkerchief for luck. With that in hand she apparoached the sign to route 1. Knowing Ash, Serena pressed on. From up high a flock of spearow was circling overhead, getting ready to strike and devour their dinner from the hapless girl with no protection. As the spearow prepared to penetrate Serena with their beaks, a Ghastly howl broke through the air. Serena suddenly had an image of Ash and ran into the trees.
As Serena climbed into the clearing she suddenly felt her blood turn into ice. There was her Ash, down on all fours surrounded by a ring of dead Pokemon snarling like a beast while tearing into the flesh of a Pikachu that may or may not still be alive. While if it was any other thing in the clearing, Serena would have screamed and ran but then she saw Ash's shirt had fallen off from his transformation and aside from some extra fur, looked very much like an 8 year old version of the people from Grace's magazines. Overwhelmed, she ran and hugged Ash as hard as she could, reveling in the feel. Then Ash got his senses back.
THE NEXT MORNING.
Ash woke up and saw the bloodied corpse of Serena on the ground. Suddenly all the events of last night came flooding back. He remembered everything and realized just the full extent of what he did. Ash he cried and begged for forgiveness for what he did Arceus just happened to be floating by. He then dropped a lightning bolt from the sky and then used his powers to resurrect Ash and Serena with their memories wiped. He also took the liberty of killing the infected houndoom who bit Ash. Only problem was Serena didn't land on her feet and endded up scraping her arm, dropping her handkerchief in the process. Ash helped treat her wound, and hand in hand they walked home. As they returned, they saw Grace being arrested for riding a rhyhorn around town. She would eventually break out and move to the region of Kalos where racing was legal. But that's for another time.
Moral of the story.
It's pokemon, all endings are happy.
