I love how they revamp all of Mauville way more than any other city and yet they can't change the game corner into an arcade, and just change coins into prize tickets or something.

Oh well, it makes it look like Poke!Japan has strict anti-gambling laws now.

Though Maylene's dad neglecting her to play in an arcade versus casino goes from sad to funny in potential Gen IV remakes
 
Am I the only one who really likes that Game Freak keeps bringing back Looker? I never expected that he would appear outside Sinnoh but he's now become a recurring character in the series. I certainly didn't expect him to appear in OR/AS considering he didn't appear in the previous remake but I'm glad he's in it.
 
Apparently you can't catch Deoxys and are forced to KO it. So much for that.

Agreed, it just feels lazy to me. Friend Safari is understandable, and they could have had it right next to the regular Safari Zone, but this just feels lazy.

Yeah, just to appeal more to butthurt soccer-moms, I'm guessing this is the game's equivalent to the Porygon incident that happened in the anime is to basically remove the concept of the Game Corner completely, when they could have easily altered them to make them with arcade games and such like the Game and Watch games. Golden opportunity missed. Though we have the mini-games in Amie, as well as super-training they're jut the same simple mini-games we had in X/Y and nothing really new to us, when they could have added something new with the Game Corner here, oh well, just another thing that they could have done but didn't. Maybe they ran short on time to add it (since they were putting so many Mega Evolutions in instead) that they just scrapped it, but I really think they're just too embarrassed to do anything with it that they just took it out completely.

Well, I'm surprised we still haven't had a game where we battle Looker, since we KNOW Looker is a trainer himself, but we haven't battled him. I mean, I'm perfectly fine with Looker in OR/AS, he's a pretty cool character and the only other character outside the PWT asides from Professor Oak and Cynthia to appear outside his debut generation and not simply just get mentioned by name.

Obviously this is to keep it an event-only Pokemon since GF doesn't like changing it's traditions, kind of a jerky move from GF if you ask me.

^ well that's a bummer. I'm not a huge Deoxys fan, so I don't care too much, but I can see that annoying a lot of people.
 
I already have a Deoxys, but that's a huge bummer for the people who wanted one.
 
Just perfect.

- No Battle Frontier
- Battle Resort is nothing more than Battle Maison 2.0.
- Deoxys can only be KO'd and not caught; Episode Delta has little point now.
 
Those are the stages of the mt chimney meteorite, which is likely the rayquaza mega stone, as one is not found ingame. As for thay battle tower model, it makes it sound like first they're gonna build it then go for a frontier. Either way, I definitely see it happening, thar model is too detailed to not be a tease.

That's really, really disappointing. But I guess that means there'll be a Birth Island event later on down the road. DX

It's definitely a possibility. But if Birth Island is present, then Navel Rock can't be far behind. Faraway Island may be on the horizon, too. But I speculate too much. It's best off not getting people's hopes too high.

Well I mean I remember seeing a familiar black triangle in a Delta Episode screenshot earlier...

But why Navel Rock when Ho-Oh and Lugia are already found in Mirage Spots?
 
The removal of the Game Corner post-Platinum isn't about appeasing "soccer moms", it's about abiding by EU regulations/guidelines (I can't remember which, but it's one of them).
GameFreak could have at least brought back Voltorb Flip. It would even fit the aesthetic of Mauville City and Wattson being an Electric-type Gym Leader.

...and my interest in the Delta Episode just dropped to practically nil. Not cool, GF. Seriously not cool.

Before you ask, I'll still get the game but now I can honestly say that my interest in it has cooled quite a bit. With all the Megas revealed, the fact that we run into a Deoxys we can't catch, the fact that we can't trade items between Hoenn and Kalos has just kinda killed it for me. There's nothing left to discover and what has been discovered doesn't excite me. The only thing I want to know now is when we get Gadevoir's Mega stone, as my hubby would love that info. Other than that, I'm not quite as excited for these games as I was previously. If a couple of Megas had been held back, I'd be insanely happy but that didn't happen.

Looks like I'll be playing X a lot more now. =/

...I knew this was too good to be true. However, I think that KO-ing it could be how it ended up on Birth Island to begin with. Thus, when we get an in-game event via Mystery Gift, we'll see a large crater in the center of the island. Once we approach Deoxys, we have a cutscene where Deoxys widen's its eyes in fear as it remembers that the player was the one who blasted it out of orbit. It will then attack us in order to defend itself, where we can finally capture it.

GF NEEDS to do this type of event!

The game rating would have to be PEGI 12 and Game Freak didn't want that.
