My Pokemon Ranch

^ That's odd. It's been working every day since I found it out and tested it. Was your Ranch full at the time? (As in, had you already received Phione and Mew?)

I'd recommend giving it another shot, just in case. I'm not exactly sure what the chances are that what she brings the next day will be one of her trade-ables if you try that trick (although, over half the time, it's extremely likely).

Is there a particular reason my Blaziken is all glittery, and seems to always hang around my Mii?

Level 100 Pokemon do the sparkling thing, from what I've read.

Anyway I don't have this yet. Cause... I don't have a Wii. Yet.

But the pics and videos are fun XD I really want to see how my Pokemon interact.

This Nidoking is hilarious XD

OMG, that calls for renders.

It's a shame that these funny Pokemon from My Pokemon Ranch will never get ripped to a computer graphics.

Unless some pro fan decides to start some project.

I would love to see them all.

No, but did it again, and she's now bringing Ponyta.

I <3 the Bidoof and Wobbuffet farms :)

Also, my Blaziken beats everyone up who tries to go near me, and when i tried to get Pikachu to wear the balloons, he kept looking up at my hand and dodging it every time I droped it on him.

Also I recall them saying "you can raise Pokemon there"

To what extent is "raising"? I don't want some of my Pokemon to level up and lose their TM moves and bred moves.

okay, i got half way through page 2 and noticed no1 had asked.
I just downloaded it (australia) but its 2am and am going to bed, gonna deposit them tomorrow.
Is depositing them REMOVING them from my ds, and if so, if/when i trade them back to my ds (to keep my DS Boxes Full) will the count go down in the ranch (thus being possible to de-level) the ranch??

plz answer.

Typing in proper english is you know, good. Sure you can make the mistake here and there, but when you type no1, its obvious you didn't even make the effort. I'm so tempted to say "you type plz instead of please because its easier, so I answer no because that's easier"

The reason most people didn't ask your first question was because it was common sense. The whole point of Pokemon Ranch is to be a storage system much like Pokemon Box R/S. The very reason for its existance is so you can store your game's Pokemon in them and leave room in your cartriage. If it were merely to copy them, then this would be a waste of 1000 wii points don't you think? I mean, Nintendo's not about to create an eas means of cloning.

As for the second question, I believe withdrawing the Pokemon does lower the count of the amount of Pokemon deposited, however, again, this is common sense, that the ranch will not level itself down.

That is the reason why I don't have this game. That, and the sprits are uuuuggly. Also, it cost 1,000 Wii Points!:disgust:

You say ugly, I say cute. I wasn't actually going to get it until Platinum, but my Pearl was actually fairly full, and I wanted to o some heavy breeding (not like I started).

1000 Wii Points: $10 USD. Regular DS and Wii games are like.. 30-50 bucks. I'd consider that cheap considering the amount of space and features in Ranch, but eh.

well box was never released where i lived so i never actually knew what it did. so all being it common sense to those who have lived it and breathed it, i haven't so i figured it to be a legit question. I had been talking to some people saying its like PBR where it copies your pokemon off and others saying its identical to box (which i had never had the privilege of playing)

as for part 2 saying its common sense it won't level down, i've played games where lowering a number below that required to keep something at that level indeed does make it return to its previous level.

Are you able to buy more than one copy of My Pokémon Ranch? I mean, I know that 1,540 (2,080 if you have both Diamond and Pearl) is a lot, but what if you need more? One cent per Pokémon is very cheap, compared to Diamond and Pearl's 6 cents per Pokémon (D/P costs more because it's not just a storage game).

So I'm wondering why Haley's Ponyta glitters all of a sudden. I traded it with her and the location caught was "Lovely Place"

Sometimes it makes me wonder whether the glitter is supposed to be a warning about seemingly hacked Pokemon. I would think my Blaziken is hacked if I didn't know it was legit...

...Maybe it has to do with good IVs?

So? I've never even seen a copy of Pokemon Box and I still knew what it did, and the fact that Pokemon Ranch is a storage system wasn't enough of a hint?

I'll give that to you, but really, why would Haley say "you took pokemon out so we're having construction to shrink the ranch"

And I'm wondering how you can even make the comment "okay, i got half way through page 2 and noticed no1 had asked" because that would imply you actually read the thread (or atleast the parts you said you read). Surprise surprise, look at the first post:

It was just released on the U.S. Virtual Console today. I downloaded it and it's not bad. I completely forgot that when you put a Pokemon in the ranch it takes it out of the DS cartridge as oppose to copying it.

Oh, and the discussions regarding if you start new game, will your Pokemon be trapped there.

All of her Pokemon have Lovely Place as their place of capture.

And I think the sparkling is just a random effect, like the steaming they do when they're mad (maybe it means they're happy, or...whatever sparkling usually denotes).

Staravia and Pikachu say Trophy Garden though.

The sparkling is strange though because it seemed exclusive to those Pokemon I mentioned for me.

...Odd. Maybe if she doesn't specifically mention where she got them from (today, she mentioned she got Lickitung when it was swarming...wherever they swarm), they're from the Lovely Place. I know my Phione and Mew were from a Lovely Place. Maybe the Lovely Place is the area outside the ranch...inhabited by every Pokemon imaginable...but totally inaccessible to everyone but Hayley. Why can no one else get there? Because she shoots them.

I thought Lovely place was the default for most event-legendaries that they get through Mystery Gift.
