Actually, the leaker did post both of these on 4chan when their evolutions/pre-evolutions were originally posted. They've been posting full evolutionary lines (rolycoly and ponyta also), but the recaps often don't bother posting the ones we've already seen. I saw it all with my own eyes

This is by far the most difficult final evolution to accept. I mean, it is cool but for a first evolution. There's just so few things added...It's basically Scorbunny with socks, shorts and hat, not something I would call a proper evolution. But again, not a bad design afterall 8Emboar exists and this is way better).

See I wouldn't have a problem with Cinderace if it followed this direction.

This is actually decent and it could grow on me, but Cinderace is so unbaringly bad looking for me, it's like Raboot woke up one day and went "I feel like being a human, lemme try on these shorts"... and nothing more... extremely underwhelming since Raboot is actually a nice design.

Well etymologically it sure is a weird one then

"Daunting" is an adjective that describes something overwhelming or formidable

Un- should invert that, no? And change it to mean something underwhelming or feeble, which... I don't think is the idea they'd be going for with a big shield-based move?

XD I dunno, I think I'm starting to appreciate Emboar more at this rate.

It means like "unflinching"

Edit: the adjective is for the shield; so the shield isn't overwhelmed by anything.

I'll take your word for it. I'd never come across it before, and breaking it down didn't lead to something that made much sense. But I guess that's English for you.

Try to think at it as a standalone pokemon and not as Scorbunny evolution. It's not that bad. Emboar is just something I don't want to see in any case...XD

Gen 8 is very very inconsistent with designs mo... we get something dope like Galarian Stunfisk and then we get a bug that looks like a kid mechanically modified a poor Ledian.

I respect everyones thoughts and opinions of the new Pokemon and it's great to share and read but it is an odd feeling like something is missing for me from a lot of the new designs.

Wow, Cindersce looks like he’d be right at home in a Sonic game. And imipidimp is definitely a lock for my team now.

Well, I didn't like Scorbunny to begin with but... I dunno, Cinderace isn't terrible but it's not really good either... the arms are randomly chubby on an athletic body and its head piece bugs me on so many levels. I still don't love Emboar but I think I appreciate its design more than this.
 
Looking at Cinderace, I think it has a chance to be the mixed one. Intelleon has obviously no physical power with those arms and Rillaboom (which is a really childish name tbh) looks more physical oriented. Cinderace looks physical but not something that could have 120 base attack.
 
At this point I feel like the only chance of a new eeveelution is if it has some obscure method of evolution. I think I remember there being some confusion over how Eevee evolved into Sylveon during the XY leaks initially.

That wouldn't explain why a trainer wouldn't have the new eeveelution on their team though.
