The first Shaymin is a hack, due to the Pokemon Movie 09, it meant to have Pokemon Movie 08. The second Shaymin looks fine. The only problem I see with the second Shaymin is the date on it. The Movie Shaymin started on the 19 July, but dates can vary due to the DS clock.

Legendaries caught with mere Poke Balls? Difficult to do, but definitely possible. It all depends on your patience and your Ball supply. Also, some event Pokemon (like the 10th Anniversary giveaways) are given away in a Poke Ball, so the ball isn't always the best way to tell what's hack and what's not.

Also, shiny legendaries are definitely possible, but only if there is a legit way of battling the Pokemon before catching. Again this requires patience in soft-resetting until the Pokemon comes out shiny. Event Pokemon are almost always given away in their normal coloring, with a few exceptions (like the Pikachu-colored Pichu).

As for dealing with a hack... Well, that depends both on the data that was hacked in the Pokemon, and on what's your stand in keeping a hack. Pokemon who were hacked into existence with regular moves, abilities, and stats are almost certain to be safe despite their vile origin (heheh), but get rid of any that seem to have too high stats, or (like in one experience of mine) base experience (at Lv. 100) that's higher/lower than what the game set for that Pokemon (check Bulbapedia for this info). Moves and abilities that the Pokemon shouldn't have is a big no-no too, so get rid of those in a hurry.

Well, the game itself will give no evidence of it being hacked, but yes, it still would be considered one by the community.

They're hacked. It's impossible to receive an event Pokemon that is shiny, unless it was intended to be shiny, like the event Pichu.

That or they took an event poke, checked Shiny on Pokesav, saved and traded it. Probably wasn't their only copy either. Hope it didn't cost too much in terms of Pokes.

Alright, I have a Dialga which I'm SURE I caught legit in my Platinum.

It's Quiet, at level 70, and the max possible speed with no EVs (as it is right now) is 136. My Dialga has 137 speed.

It has been deposited in my box, but I'm sure they removed the box trick in Platinum, didn't they?

A shiny level 100 marowak caught at route 203 at level 99 has to be a fake right?

Easily hacked, there's no way you can catch a Marowak at that level anywhere, let alone Route 203. My bet is he/she set the level at 99 to make it look less fake.
