The Fox Pokémon, Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix will be the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's February 2026 Community Day, which will be held at the very beginning of the month on Sunday, February 1st, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. During this event, Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix will be appearing more frequently in the wild, together with their Shiny variant, and some that has a Special Background. Scopely have also announced the dates of the next Season's Community Days and other events.
Dynamax Ho-Oh will be making its debut in five-star Max Battles in Pokémon GO's next Max Battle Weekend, running from Saturday, January 31st, at 6:00am to Sunday, February 1st, at 9:00pm local time. Lucky Trainers may also encounter Dynamax Lugia in its Shiny variant during this event.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A version 2.0.1 is now available to download for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. This update allows Trainers to purchase multiple berries at once and increases the maximum amount of Mega Shards that a Trainer can have to 9,999. It also fixes several minor bugs to enhance the gameplay experience. This update is required to access Internet features.
Glimmet, the Ore Pokémon, will make its Pokémon GO debut in the Into the Depths event, which will run from Tuesday, January 27th, at 10:00am, to Sunday, February 1st, at 8:00pm local time. Trainers will have the opportunity to encounter Glimmet from Routes, Field Research, free Timed Research, and paid Timed Research during this event.
Team GO Rocket are back to their old tricks in Pokémon GO, with the latest Team GO Rocket Takeover event, Precious Pals: Taken Over, running from this Friday January 23th, at 12:00am, and concluding Sunday January 25th, 2026, at 8:00pm local time. A Raikou Shadow Raid Day will also run alongside this event on Saturday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time.
The Precious Pals event will be running in Pokémon GO later this month from Tuesday, January 20th, at 10:00am, through to Sunday, January 25th, at 8:00pm local time. Shiny Fidough will be appearing in Pokémon GO for the first time as part of this event.

Pokémon GO is once again ringing in the New Year with a special New Year's celebration event, which this year will commence on New Year's Eve, Wednesday, December 31st, at 10:00am, running through to Sunday, January 4th, 2026, at 8:00pm local time. During this event, festive fireworks will light up the skies.

Trainers in Pokémon GO mid-this month will be getting their hands on a bunch of Fighting-type Pokémon in the Well Armed event, which will be running from Thursday, December 11th, at 10:00am to Tuesday, December 16th, at 8:00pm local time.
The next set of special Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be focusing on the Stealth Pokémon Dragapult, which will be making its first appearance in 7-star Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles between December 5th at midnight (UTC) / 4th at 4:00pm (PST), and December 7th at 11:59pm (UTC) / 3:59pm (PST). This will be followed by a second appearance one week later from December 12th at midnight (UTC) / 11th at 4:00pm (PST), to December 14th at 11:59pm (UTC) / 3:59pm (PST). Blissey will also be appearing more frequently in 5-star Tera Raid Battles during the second weekend of this event.
