  • A whole neighborhood? Depending on its size, there must have been quite a few competitives there. Do you miss those days, by any chance?
I see. I suppose depending on the relationship in question, it would make sense for cousins to get competitive about things like that. Did they eventually grow out of the competitive streak or do they still do it?
Hmm. Was it more of a "playful" kind of competitive or was it more on the serious side, so to speak? As far as Pokemon goes, I never really got competitive with my relatives. Even my relatives who did like Pokemon enjoyed it casually; we never really got competitive about it.
Ah school... I know that all too well... 2013 was a year of hiatus for me... :/ nice to see you back again though :) have you got a favorite Pokemon game?
I also feel a bit like a know-it-all when it comes to Pokemon; I certainly know more about the series than all of my relatives. I don't read Bulbapedia articles as much as I did when I first discovered the site, but I still enjoy reading from time to time. May I ask what kind of competition your family has?
Really? From what I recall, I think I discovered this site around the time when HGSS came out. Similar timing if you ask me. I admit that sites like this one somehow make you more "educated" about the franchise in question. I don't even think I would know how Pokemon began if it weren't for Bulbagarden.
Interesting. I discovered this site when I was doing an internet search for one of the Pokemon games and I selected a link to Bulbapedia. At first, I thought I was on Wikipedia, but after I looked at the page more closely, I realized I was on a completely different site. I decided to check out the site a bit and visit a few pages. While I browsing, I eventually learned that Bulbapedia was completely dedicated to the Pokemon series. Since Pokemon is my favorite franchise, Bulbapedia became an instant favorite of mine, and I've been visiting Bulbagarden ever since. Eventually, I discovered the forums, but I didn't become a member until recently. This story might have been a bit wordy, but I hope it gives you insight on how I joined this site.
I can relate to that, as I don't comment in the forums that often, but I do so every once in a while. Nice to see that you are trying to post more often. How did you discover Bulbagarden?
Thank you for the friend request :) I do appreciate the add :) I take it you have gotten back into the land of bulbagarden recently?
