In fact, the only examples of significant data additions that come to mind are Crystal's Battle Tower, FireRed/LeafGreen's Trainer Tower and Emerald's Trainer Hill. In the Japanese versions, the Battle Tower incorporated data of other players, while Trainer Tower/Hill utilized data read from the special e-Cards. With the GB Mobile System remaining limited to Japan, and the e-Reader being dropped prior to FireRed/LeafGreen's release, respective changes had to be made.
