Drake woke up flowing with energy. Today was the day he would finally get his first pokemon and set out an adventure. He smiled at the thought of traveling Kanto with pokemon.
He slowly slipped out of bed and put a pair of jeans and a shirt on. Drake walked to his personal bathroom and ran a comb under the faucet's flowing watet and slid it through his hair.
Then he bounced down the stairs and said hello to his mother. After quickly eating his bowl of cereal he kissed his mother on the cheeks and said goodbye before leaving.
Drake ran to the town hall as quickly as he could without wearing himself out completely.
He had seen his brother go and now it was his turn. It was tradition in his village of Kuan for the children to set out on an adventure by being given a pokemon egg on the Trailun Day following there 10th birthday and now it was finally his turn.
At 8 o'clock sharp he arrived at the town hall. Shaking with exitement Drake walked in.
Inside were 9 other children waiting for an egg. He quickly joined them right before he heard a booming voice. "Welcome ,children, to the start of your adventure. You shall take on a pokemon egg, raise it from birth, than travel far and wide on an adventure now, let the egg giving begin."
Drake could feel the energy of 10 very excited kids humming in the air as the eggs were delivered. When Drake finally got an egg he knew the wait was worth it. He felt warm inside as he held the egg. His egg. His pokemon.
