Featured Pokémon from 2022 and 2023 return for Pokémon GO's final Community Day for the year

Niantic has released details for Pokémon GO's December Community Day event for 2023, which will run across December 16th and 17th. Pokémon that were featured in Community Day and Community Day Classic events in 2022 and 2023 will return in this month's Community Day event, with Pokémon previously featured during 2023 appearing more frequently in the wild and in Timed Research, while Pokémon featured throughout 2022 will hatch from Eggs, and appear in Raids and Timed Research.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active between 2:00pm and 5:00pm on both days of the event:

• 2× XP for catching Pokémon.
• 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
• 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event period.
• 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
• 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive XL Candy from catching Pokemon.
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
• Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.

The following event bonuses will be active from 9:00am to 9:00pm on both days of the event:

• One additional Special Trade can be made, for a maximum of two per day.
• Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust.

PokéStop Showcases for Pokémon featured in Community Day events in 2023 will also be running throughout the event period at different PokéStops.

Stickers
Trainers will be able to receive 2023 Community Day stickers by spinning PokéStops, or opening Gifts. Trainers can also purchase these stickers directly from the in-game shop.

Special, Timed, and Field Research
A Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, December Community Day 2023, will be available for purchase at US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). This Special Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher. This Special Research does not include an in-game medal.

Free event-themed Timed Research and Field Researchwill be running during this event. Trainers completing the Timed Research tasks will be awarded with King’s Rocks and Magnetic Lures. Completing either the Timed Research or Field Research will also award encounters with Pokémon featured in previous Community Days from 2022 and 2023 (see below for a full list).
