The 2026 Pokémon North America International Championships (NAIC) was a Pokémon Champions tournament that featured 1,096 players battling for invites to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships. The event was ultimately won by Francesco Pio Pero, marking their first major win in the Video Game Championships (VGC).

Raifort makes her Pokémon Masters EX debut today in a sync pair with Gengar in the game's latest EX Fair Scout. The pair also star in a brand new Story Event launching today, History Teacher’s Odd Run-Ins.

A Ceruledge ex Drop Event has now commenced in Pokémon TCG Pocket, running through to June 22nd at 10:59pm (PDT) / June 23rd at 5:59am (UTC), offering players the opportunity to challenge a series of special solo battles to attempt to obtain promo card packs and other rewards.

In December of 2025, Niantic Spatial, the geospatial AI company spun off from Niantic during Scopely's acquisition of their gaming division, and Vantor, a geospatial intelligence firm, announced a partnership that would combine the former's expertise in ground-based positioning with the latter's expertise in aerial positioning. A report by the Dutch newspaper Trouw published on June 5th, referenced in English by DroneXL on June 9th, noted this collaboration and asked Vantor if data collected from Pokémon GO players would be used. In response, Vantor denied the use of this data, but did not comment on whether or not the geospatial model deployed was trained from that data.

In the Nintendo Direct video presentation that aired earlier today, fans got their first look at new paid DLC for Pokémon Pokopia, which will release in three waves beginning in August this year alongside a free Version 2.0 update. The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass is available for pre-purchase now on the Nintendo eShop.

The 2026 Pokémon Turin Special Championships was the first official tournament in Europe to take place within Pokémon Champions. It featured 941 players battling for invites to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, and was ultimately won by 3x International Champion Marco Silva alongside Mega Floette and Mega Gengar.

The latest Link to the Cure marathon is scheduled from this weekend, June 5th to June 7th. As with last year's event, a blindfolded speedrun of Pokémon Red is scheduled for the first day of the event, which is raising money for Child's Play charity. The run can be watched from the event's official Twitch channel.

Power Up With Pride's flagship marathon is set to go live this weekend from June 5th to June 7th. The event will run from around 9:15am (EDT) today, and from 8:15am (EDT) Saturday and Sunday, through to around midnight after the last run of each day is completed. The first day of the marathon will feature a run of Pokémon Yellow, and can be watched on the event's official Twitch channel.

The latest Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE is Skeledirge, a Ranged Attacker with Intemediate difficulty that deals Special damage. Until Tuesday, June 30th, players can clear event missions to collect exclusive coins and exchange them for Skeledirge's Unite License.

Sygna Suit Kris & Suicune are making their return to Pokémon Masters EX today in a set of Master Fair scouts alongside the ongoing Rising Thunder and Flames Neo Champion Event. These scouts will run through to June 19th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Preregistration is now open for the iOS and Android versions of Pokémon Champions, which are set to release on 17 June 2026. The game will include cross-platform functionality, allowing players to battle between mobile and Nintendo Switch versions of the game. To celebrate the release of the mobile versions of Pokémon Champions, an in-game distribution will be held from 17 June to 2 September 2026.

The 2026 Victory Road May Challenge #5 was a grassroots Pokémon Champions tournament that featured 150 players battling for prize money. The event was won by Nikolaj Høj Nielsen alongside Mega Floette. Further information relating to the event can be found on Victory Road's website.

As previewed in the recent monthly update from the game's developers, Lyra debuts her Neo Champion sync pair with Entei today in Pokémon Masters EX in a new EX Master Fair Scout. Alongside this scout, the two new Neo Champions from Johto are taking center stage in the brand new Special Battle Event, Take on Ethan and Lyra.

Players today are getting another chance to partner up with two of Lillie's Sync Pairs with the return of the Festive Sun and Moon Story Event from the game's 5 Year Anniversary Celebrations, and the latest set of rallies as part of the ongoing 30-Year Celebrations. Also launching today is the game's latest Monthly Poké Fair, featuring Akari & Samurott.

It featured 1,013 players battling for prize money and invites to the 2026 Pokémon World Championships, and was ultimately won by Arsal Puri alongside Mega Charizard Y and Mega Floette.

The Paradox Drive Emblem Event is now underway in Pokémon TCG Pocket, giving players the opportunity to acquire emblems to set on their in-game player profiles. This event is set to run through to June 9th, at 10:59pm (PDT) / June 10th, at 5:59am (UTC).
