During his Terastal training, Roy reunites with Nemo in Bowl Town and has a battle against her! Hassaku was watching this battle, and suggests Roy and the others create a piece of artwork they can submit to the upcoming art festival, which leads to Liko, Roy and Dot deciding to work with their partners to create such a piece?!

It likely is given that the special preview showed us Roy having a battle with Brassius and the following episode is about Dot. With Nemona being a Champion level trainer and having a fully evolved Pokémon, her battle with Roy will likely be short but get him ready for Brassius.

Right. I have no doubt this episode will be feature the battle with Brassius, it's pretty much a given considering Liko will be up against Katy in the episode right before this one, and then Dot will battle Iono in the episode right after this.

And yeah, I don't expect the battle between Roy and Nemona to last long at all, given the vast difference between her and Roy's skill levels. Like you said Kurolegacy, it'll most likely be about getting Roy ready for his battle with Brassius more than anything else-it'll basically serve as a mock/training battle.

Thing is Roy already lost against Brassius WAY back in the first arc: Will they make Roy lose again but still pass the assessment the way Liko still passed hers?

Possibly, wouldn't put it past them.
But what I was more getting as is that if Roy doesn't win here, Dot probably also isn't winning hers.

Or if he does, and this leads to another EP20 situation with Liko (and maybe Dot if she loses) where she feels trying her hardest isn't good enough.
