Pokémon Journey: The Kalos Days
A ferry drifted lazily down Aquacorde Town's river, cutting through the shallow water. The water's surface sparkled as it caught the early morning sunlight and the buildings were silhouetted against the brightening sky. A group of Surskit skated swiftly out of the way of the ferry as it slowly pulled up to a stone wharf. It was small boat, so only a few people stepped off. Jake Laurey watched this group of tourists arrive from a distance. He tossed his bag aside him on the ground and leaned against the side of a tree, trying to stay in the shade for a short respite before leaving for Santalune City. Jake had been up at the crack of dawn that morning, being that he had to make the journey from Kanto all the way to Kalos, and was now struggling to keep himself awake. Perhaps it was the apprehension of starting a Pokemon journey keeping him from falling asleep? Hachiko was sitting next to him, sniffing the air and taking in the unfamiliar smells of the new region.
