I'm worried. If a North American release was planned, wouldn't it have been released there first before in Australia?

Not necessarily. Once in a blue moon, stuff does get released on the Australian region first. I do hope that we get a DVD release for North America, though. I'm scared of something like what happened with Chronicles

Not necessarily. Once in a blue moon, stuff does get released on the Australian region first. I do hope that we get a DVD release for North America, though. I'm scared of something like what happened with Chronicles

Origins was also recently put up on Hulu, which worries me. TPCi could easily just make it exclusive to Hulu and leave it at that.

When it comes to DVDs, it's not once in a blue moon for Australia, it's actually most of the time. The company that handles Australian DVD releases does a really good job, getting most of the new Seasons and movies out on DVD in Australia before the US (on the other hand, there are some holes in older materials, but that's probably licensing issues).
