Series 2 Regulations for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Ranked Battles to come into force from February 1st, permitting the use of Paradox Pokémon

A Japanese Poké Portal News update has given details on the upcoming Series 2 Regulations for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Ranked Battles. These regulations will come into force starting February 1st, together with start of Ranked Battles Season 3, and will run until March 31st at 23:59 UTC. Unlike in the current Series 1 Regulations, Paradox Pokémon will be permitted in Series 2, which will allow Trainers to use Pokémon numbered 001-392 and 397-398 in the Paldea Pokédex, that have been are caught, hatched, and obtained as gifts in Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet. While Pokémon may Terastallize during battle, Legendary Pokémon are not permitted.

Under Series 2 Regulations, Pokémon may be entered at any level, but will be set to level 50 during matches. Pokémon may also be given Held Items, however no more than one copy of any item can be present on a player's team.
