Damn I hate you JPEG! Look at my new banner. One single pixel wide stripe of white down the right side against a black background. Does anyone else find that extremely annoying? *goes to change obsessively*
 
I hate JPEG with all my heart. PNG and GIF are love, but Paint just automatically saves into JPEG so yeah.
 
I use Paint.NET. It saves everything I make as a PNG. I use MS Paint to copy and save images, but I make sure to select PNG before saving.

I know what you mean. And paint jpeg is absolutely horrible since it forever dismantles the quality when you save it. I tried to ctrl+z out of it once, but it was too late :C

Now I make sure to catch myself to change the format before saving.

I use whatever photo editor I've got on hand. They're all good at something.
 
Right, but mine was already a pre-existing image that was a .jpg. But .bmp is even worse.
