Review DP154: The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion VS Hassam!!

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

Something like 6 or 7 hours I think, maybe sooner.

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

The DP series isn't all that unpredictable aleast in most parts.

I don't see why some people are making a big damn deal out of nothing just because of Gliscor leaving Ash's Sinnoh team, this crap need to stop because there is nothing any of you guys can do about it, atleast Ash will have a cool strong Gible on his Sinnoh team which is the best thing he ever will have and a dragon type Pokemon at that.

Ash Sinnoh team is still going to be the best team even with out Gliscor,Ash does not need to depend on Gliscor when is going to have a strong Gible to train and will most likely evolve into a very strong powerful Gabite or maybe even a Garchomp which is also a powerful Pokemon.

Its simply the fact of Ash releasing his Pokemon again, something that hasn't happened since Orange Islands.

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

As much as I really hate the monsters being released, I do like it on how they were released. Instead of simply dumping them into the wild, Ash (and Dawn, right now) give it a choice to continue traveling with him/her or remain in a certain area following its heart on what it wants to do for the rest of its life.

What they should have done after the "release" is have them return to its original trainer during a league or some other special event (Battle Frontier and such). This way we can see their progress if it's new techniques, evolution, or any other method. It was great to see Lapras in the Johto saga since its absence during the end of the Orange Island saga and it's still in under Ash's control. Why couldn't the creators think of that for the other monsters that's been released?

Cause Gliscor is bringing what exactly to his Sinnoh team??? For crying out loud, IT WON ONE BATTLE... one as in one more than zero and that battle was clearly won by chimchar who defeated the first two pokemon and more than held its own against bastiodon. But the writers wanted to throw Gliscor a freebie... Let's face it, battle wise Gliscor is weak, it was weak as a gligar and didn't really improve after evolving.

Personnality wise, I get why some people might be upset because it was the comic relief of the team (didn't make me laugh annoyed me to tears but... it might not be so annoying to other people)

Anyway, Gliscor's leaving and I'm not exactly shedding any tears, it was long overdue...

What in the world is the point of capturing Pokemon, training them, giving them character growth, and then getting rid of them for seemingly stupid reasons?

While the character growth of the Pokemon is important, the character growth of Ash is also important... What more could he do exactly with Gliscor... nothing, it would have rotten away in its pokeball until ash needed it for the 6 on 6 battles in the league and then would have been knocked out fast (cause it's weak... recurring theme of this post) Let's face it, Gliscor plateaued in its character developpement (like ambipom for that matter) it's fear of flying is over, it's knocking down Ash was somewhat cute yet boring when it was a gligar, it's annoying now. The writers give them character growth while they can but when their story arc is at an end, send them away instead of keeping them on the team for nothing and forcing storylines on them... Gliscor's departure is long overdue...

That being said, I'm not ready to hail gible as the next messiah just cause it's a dragon type. I'm gonna give it a fair chance, but let's be honest, he can't be worst that Gliscor...

those were my two cents

Ps : Those who think it's better if the pokemon is oaked, no it's not, you're not seeing it again unless they do a battle frontier and bring it back for 2 minutes...

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

^ You act as if Gliscor is weak compared to his other Pokemon. You honestly think Totodile and Noctowl were better or stronger Pokemon than Gliscor?

If Gliscor was Oak'd, it would almost certainly be used in the league.

I'm sure Ash can rotate 7 Pokemon for one league, given I doubt he'll use any of his Kanto/Johto/Hoenn Pokemon.

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

People are acting like Gliscor did a whole lot of battling and winning when it didn't, even Totodile and Noctowl did a whole lot better then Gliscor ever did, even though they had a few battles at least they won them.

Gliscor never really did anything that much on Ash's Sinnoh team to fush over it, Gible have a much better chance to battle alot and do a whole lot of things on Ash's Sinnoh team then Gliscor ever did.

Gible/Gabite are the Pokemon that fits Ash entire Sinnoh team a whole lot better then Gliscor who is not really all that important compare to how Gible will be to Ash's Sinnoh team and Ash is not going to bring back any of his old Kanto/Johto/Hoenn teams, he have the Sinnoh team to train in order to make them stronger and they are the team that Ash will depend on for the Sinnoh league not his old ones.

Scott, please stop being so ridiculous and calm down
It's not the end of the world, just keep enjoying the show or... you know, don't watch it! OMG! is that possible?! if you so hate everything they do, you should just stop, no one is forcing you
I also find it funny how some people act like Gliscor leaving will "destroy" the Sinnoh team while others think it'll "save" the Sinnoh team - both sides are seriously ridiculous, as every Poké can change its "level" randomly according to what the writers want at every certain episode, there's no stronger/weaker no matter how you'd like to think so, there are writers who are doing whatever they want

I don't like it that Gliscor leave
But unlike others who would like to see it randomly going to Oak, I prefer that it gets a whole episode focused on itself and a good episode like most of the others eps of this kind were (Cacnea, Ambipom, etc)
This is so much better than being Oak'd
At least we'll get one good ep of Gliscor before it leave, unlike what we'd see if it was simply Oak'd
If the writers want it to return later - it'll return, no matter where it is
We can't know if it'll return or not but we also can't do anything either way

We should stop the ridiculous complaining - we just filled more than 10 pages of this, now please let's discuss the actual episode when it airs instead of going all OMG GLISCOR LEFT END OF THE WORLD or YAY GIBLE IS GOD
kthxbye

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

Guys, please, come on. It's just a TV show, stop making a big deal out of it, if Gliscor leaves, then tough luck. It was the writers decision, and they must stick by that decision, they don't really care about what Gliscor did or any other of Ash's Pokémon achieved, all they care about is proceeding the series that gives the viewers some enjoyment.

Like I said before, who cares if Gible's gonna toughen up Ash's team or Gible is god or whatever, It's just a Television show that has its ups and downs.

I'm just gonna repeat this so you all actually get the message, It's a Television show, the writers decide what do do, not us. they won't listen or read our compliants.

the end.

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

Gliscor leaving Ash's Sinnoh team is for the best so he can have him a purfect Gible which fits his Sinnoh team a whole lot better and Ash Sinnoh team will be even better now that he is getting a really strong dragon type Pokemon like Gible.

This crap about Gliscor leaving Ash's Sinnoh team will be srcew up is nonsense, Ash Sinnoh team is going to still be the best team even without Gliscor on it and Gible will fit right in with Ash Sinnoh team perfectly and make Ash Sinnoh team look even better then before.

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

I'm sorry but I doubt if Ash gets a Gible.
One hour to go?

Seriously get over yourselves.

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

Finally what happened to Gliscor?

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

Its airing now isn't it? Okay I'm betting Gliscor doesn't leave.

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

Satoshi left the decision to Glion and it stayed with the Air Master.

This bites.

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

Gliscor left. *sigh*

I only hope for it to return as unlikely as it is.

:bawling:

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

Oh well. Bye bye Glion. I honestly didn't care one way or the other.

I did think it was pretty fitting for them to play "Kaze to Issho Ni" (the ending theme to the first movie) during its flashback / farewell scene, though.

I was also not surprised when the Rocket-Dan made the "kuuki yomenai" comment at the end.

Re: DP 154 "The Air Battle Master Enters! Glion vs. Hassam!!" Preview Thread

So it did go? Well is it gone for good or for training? Just curious...
