I happy-faced when I saw the news post.

I vote for a Mightyena evolution ^^ even if I don't like the third generation... It may be dark/ghost or dark/psychic

I honestly cannot imagine a guadrupedal pokemon evolve to a bipedal pokemon. I just can't see it happening. It could be something brand new, no evolution whatsoever.

Re: First Gen V Pokémon revealed in Pokémon Sunday: Pokémon director Jun'ichi Masuda

Mightyena going bipedal would make sense, since Mightyena is a wolf, and the Pokemon appears to be a werewolf.

Yes, but its also a fact that every creature in the real world evolved from a quadrupedal creature. Forget rules. They don't exist :p

¡Exactly! ^^

Not to mention that humans start their lives traveling about on all fours. Frogs start their lives swimming.

Changes to the method of locomotion across the lifespan of a creature aren't unheard of.

Wow, that's basically how I pictured it, I don't know about the typings though, I didn't bother guessing that, but that is basically the design I thought of looking at it. Very nice job on it too!

You mean like Rhyhorn :p

Re: First Gen V Pokémon revealed in Pokémon Sunday: Pokémon director Jun'ichi Masuda

NO WAI!! I don't believe it. I wanted to stay out of the Generation V speculation until we got some confirmation. This counts. Pretty cool.

As for this mystery Pokemon, I'll venture, like someone else did, that it's an evolution for Lucario. However, as there are going to be completely new Pokemon, I can be spectacularly wrong and will wait for the Pokemon Sunday segment on Feb 21. Sweet news.

Re: First Gen V Pokémon revealed in Pokémon Sunday: Pokémon director Jun'ichi Masuda

I agree on the general notion of it being a Werewolf Pokemon, simply because a Werewolf would be pretty awesome.

I've seen a few people mention how it also resembles either a Kitsune or Wendigo, folklore creatures who use illusions irc, so that also seems like a pretty cool idea. We already have a Kitsune in Ninetails, so I'd like them to go with something more obscure like a Wendigo.

Of course, I dunno if Nintendo wants a Pokemon based off a creature that's said to be a cannibalistic monster human. :0

Re: Pokémon Sunday February 7th Live Blog

It (the silhouette) looks kinda like a warewolf or Lucario, I like it so far, but I wonder how it's suppose to tie into the movie.

It definitely looks like a Lucario evolution, which would be the first 'legendary' to have them.

Re: First Gen V Pokémon revealed in Pokémon Sunday: Pokémon director Jun'ichi Masuda

Lucario has a pre-evolution, so I don't see why an evolution would be anything unexpected.

I wish it were the 27th already!!! On an unrelated note, anyone wanna help start a petition that will allow us to give GF ideas on new Pokemon?

Wow, this is awesome!
Can't wait for more info to be released.

Thanks.

Re: First Gen V Pokémon revealed in Pokémon Sunday: Pokémon director Jun'ichi Masuda

the new pokemon silloutte looks more like an evolved zizagon plus its supposedly ruler z so it kinda makes sence

We'll find out about this Pokemon on the 15th... or the 21st... but now I'm seeing the 27th and petitions like that do not work.

First of all, it's spelled Zigzagoon. Secondly, we don't know that this Pokemon is Z or not. All we know it is an important part of the plot.

At the risk of sounding insane, I've got to say, when I look closely at the screenshot from Pokemon Sunday, I can totally see that it's not a solid black silhouette, but a heavily darkened one. After playing with brightness/contrast in Photoshop a bit, I can definitely make out a face and (I believe) some basic fur patterns.

I can see what you are getting at. I think I see an eye and what may be a hand.

EDIT: Okay, I think I can see the other ear.

Please post a pic of the brightened silhouette!

Would you mind posting a shopped picture? My skills are lacking, all I'm managing to create is a white screen.
