Now just throw in a JP Green 1.0 PCB and you are all set. :D

I'm actually looking for a GB flash cart, I've found an 100% converted ROM (Which is legal because I own the Japanese version - If mods find something wrong with this statement, please delete it) I'm hoping to put the proper English ROM inside my custom Cartridge :D! ... a 100% complete ENG version!

Now just throw in a JP Green 1.0 PCB and you are all set. :D

Sorry, I can't PM you yet.

Flash carts in general are not illegal, at least here in Canada, as for the ROM, they are also legal in Canada, as long as I own the original. If a mod or admin makes a comment then I will gladly remove the comments. Thanks for your concern however :)

This is awesome...thank you for creating this :D

Dude, that is freaking amazing! You are a great photoshopper. Now if you print it on the kind of material Nintendo used, you could pass it off as the real thing. Once again, great work.

Thanks for your comments! I'm actually looking for the right material, if any one has any suggestions, need min 12" x 18" paper!

I'm leaving for my vacation in a couple hours so I won't be working on this till about aug 7th, but I'd appreciate it if you guys pointed out any differences, no matter how small. Even if the size or spacing of something is off, let me know and I'll do my best to fix them all.

Thanks guys, be back aug 7th

Well, I guess there's the obvious box size and cartridge color things, but I'm sure you are already well aware of those.

Re: [56k warning] - Pokemon Green U.S.A Box Art (1999) *Not LeafGreen

Aw man! This is awesome! And now I wish I knew how to put ROMs in cartridges.

Re: [56k warning] - Pokemon Green U.S.A Box Art (1999) *Not LeafGreen

Wow, that's great
One note if you'd want it to be exact, you should probably use the game code "APBE" (what a US Green would be) rather than "APAE" (==Pokémon Red US) which you have on the box (DMG P APAE) or "APCE" (==Mario's Picross US) which you have on the sticker (DMG-APCE-USA) since "APB" is the official code for Green.
A tiny thing but I thought'd I'd let you know.

[pic, best I could find to show APB on a Japanese cart]

GREAT FIND!!! thanks for pointing that out :D!

These are the codes I will use:
Box: DMG P APBA
Cart: DMG-APBA-USA

I'm working on a list of things todo, they'll be updated on the first post.

Also, I managed to score this on ebay :D!!!!

Ebay here!!!

Or, if the ebay ad is gone see picture:

($20 + $10 shipping)
For those unaware, this is one of those crummy bootleg hacked games from Japan, but it's engrish translated, I'd say its only about 10% translated and bad, but it's the best thing available. This will be going in my cartridge when it arrives :D!

In the mean time, here are some current pictures. There wont be many more until I finalize all the changes then have them reprinted.

Enjoy!

Damn, that box is so legit looking. I'd be fooled immediately if I saw it being sold somewhere.

Re: [UPDATED!] - [Progress: 80%] - Pokemon Green U.S.A Box Art (1998)

...WOAH man. These could easily be called real. I actually can't see a difference.

Thanks for the comments :D

Unfortunately, the moment you see them up close you can spot several differences :( These imperfections will be fixed though :)

Also, in case anyone was wondering, this is the paint that I used for the cartridge, I'm utterly blown away by how perfect it turned out!!!

Excellent job! It looks real, for sure.

Re: [UPDATED!] - [Progress: 80%] - Pokemon Green U.S.A Box Art (1998)

Sorry to bring up an older thread, but I just can't get over how awesome this is! I was curious too if the original poster or anyone else could tell me what type of material the box is printed on.

Re: [UPDATED!] - [Progress: 80%] - Pokemon Green U.S.A Box Art (1998)

ToDo list:

1. *This is a big one* Redo the all the text and low res parts with a new 300DPI version.
- This includes the Bar-code, Characters and Logos (Amusing I can find a higher res version, help is appreciated) ALL the typed text
2. Clean up the battle screenshot (If anyone wants to recreate the Sandshrew vs Meowth screen shot that would be AWESOM!)
3. Re-size and realign some things, logos, text characters.
4. Correct the game code on both the box and cartridge
- Box: DMG P APBA Cart: DMG-APBA-USA
5. Re-size the cartridge slot inside, original cut is way over sized.
6. More Soon.

So, I've decided to fire up the old Photoshop finally and see if I can have a go at cleaning up this list of to-do's

Just a post for anyone who spots any other issues to let me know so that I can add them to my list.

Hey,

I just love the work you are doing on the box, do you think it's possible you can share some more information about the materials you are using etc? Because i would like to try and see if i can do some of these thing myself.

If you're referring to the materials used to make the box itself, I simply used the thickest card stock that was available at staples. Unfortunately, I've yet to find the original material to have the box printed on. Still looking though.

Re: [UPDATED!] - [Progress: 80%] - Pokemon Green U.S.A Box Art (1998)

Thank you for the reply

perhaps i'm missing something but my standard european printer already jams when it uses 2 sheets of paper at the same time so how do you print on cardboard? ow btw you missed a tiny detail by missing 2 cuts on the box closing flap.

Due to the sheer size of the document I had, I had to get it printed at a print shop. Most home printer cannot handle the thickness and weight of thick cardstock.

As for the two little cuts, these have been noted for my second print revision.

Thanks.
