I'd rather see Ash getting a Lucario as well. That's what I've been waiting for since that "I-have-the-aura-power" thing.

They have not talked about that since DP so it was probably only a plot device thing. If Ash gets Lucario the aura thing will probably not be a main reason to why he gets it.
 
My main hopes are that Serena gets Absol and Espurr, Ash gets Lucario without Aura being a thing in their relationship and that Citron captures a Torkoal or a Heatmor to help power his machines.
 
Considering the most likely way of Ash getting a Lucario in XY would be following Korrina's plot in the games, it would surprise me if they didn't relate it to Aura.

I'd say Ash being able to use Aura Sphere is a plot step too far and shouldn't be touched on again, but the general concept shouldn't be ignored and an instant bond with a Lucario being put down to non specific liking of Ash would make it a pointless capture. If he's going to finally get a Riolu/Lucario, they shouldn't ignore the role they've played in his past.

If they won't invoke Aura at all, I'd rather he just not get one.
 
Hopefully Ash stays away from Lucario and catches some fresh, new Kalos pokemons. That would be much better. But we still do not have a clue on what he is getting. Fennekin and Chespin belongs to others from the main cast so he will probably not get them. Pancham is out too as there was a Pancham ep but Ash did not capture one.

Ash maybe gets a Goomy? The two latest gens someone in the main cast got the first stage of the three stage Dragon line of the gen. So Ash maybe gets a Goomy which does not evolve. Many fans would be mad.

I also hope for a Tyrunt. I love the design and it would fit well with Ash. He had pokes who liked to bite people/things before(Gible)so I can see that happen. Hopefully Tyrunt evolves.

Then we have the Grass type discussion. Chespin is out(if Ash does not get it from Clemont as another user suggested) and Pumpkaboo too. I could see a Phantump/Trevenant with Ash and it could be fun. I do not want him to end up with Gourgeist though. It seems like a TR pokemon. Another possible choice is to bring Bulbasaur back and evolve him(twice) to showcase Megas on Ashs team. I hope it does not happen though. I only want Kalos pokes and Palpitoad on Ashs Kalos team. But Bulbasaur is at least a better choice than to bring Charizard back. And Bulbasaur did not want to evolve, right? They would have to change that and almost re-develop Bulbasaur and it would be so much easier to get Ash a fresh Grass type instead.
They could use a Skiddo I guess but I do not think it is likely since Alexa has a Gogoat. But Skiddo/Gogoat is the Grass type I most want for Ash this gen and they do not need to evolve it. Or they could evolve it and Ashs Gogoat has a rivalry with Alexas. That could be fun to see.

And then another wild card. I admit there is a possibility that Ash gets Lucario but as I have said I hope not. But Lucario would still be better than Charizard. The wild card wil probably be a pokemon capable of Mega Evolving though(if they do not go with Bulbasaur which they probably will not). So then we have Charizard, Lucario and Heracross. Charizard will probably be the case but Lucario or Heracross would be better. I hope for Heracross. I like his Mega form and I like him. Charizards type would be a problem if they were to use him. It has the same typing as Talonflame which Ash probably will get.

For the ones he already has, I predict evolution twice for both Fletchling and Froakie. Fletchling is the regional bird so of course it will reach its final stage. Froakie feels a bit like Treecko and Treecko got to reach its final stage so Froakie could do it too. And Greninja would fit Ash. So I will predict(by the end of the saga)

I think the only thing I really care about is seeing a Litleo end up being caught by Ash, Serena, or Clemont. I guess Ash already has his fire type since he'll eventually have Talonflame, though this has never stopped the writers from giving Ash 2 Pokemon of the same type, such as Kingler and Squirtle in the OS, then Oshawott and Palpitoad along with Snivy and Leavanny in BW.
 
You know what would be nice. James getting a Goomy/Sliggoo/Goodra mostly cause I was looking at it's Pokedex entry the other day and it mentioned something about covering it's trainer in goop when it hugs them and it reminded me of all the time James' Pokemon would comically attack him. However, since this is TR we're talking about, James will probably never own a dragon type as awesome as that.

Also, I kinda wanted Jessie to get a Trevenant, because they're freaking awesome... maybe she can trade her Pumkaboo for it.

I'm starting to hinge to possible Gen 1-5 captures in XY since the pool of possible captures keeps decreasing.

Really hope that does not happen. In that case they could give Ash half his BW team. They would need another saga to get developed.

Don't see that happening TBH. The episode at oaks lab was pretty clear about them staying behind. I agree with you that i hope the captures will be Gen 6, but with so few pokes added in gen 6 and many of the better known ones already effectively written out of a capture from the crew i fear that gen 1-5 is the only thing left other than an incomplete team which is an even bigger taboo than catching pokemon from previous generations.

Don't see that happening TBH. The episode at oaks lab was pretty clear about them staying behind. I agree with you that i hope the captures will be Gen 6, but with so few pokes added in gen 6 and many of the better known ones already effectively written out of a capture from the crew i fear that gen 1-5 is the only thing left other than an incomplete team which is an even bigger taboo than catching pokemon from previous generations.

We know that Ash will have two gen 1-5 pokemon. A Mega and Pikachu. Then he has Froakie and Fletchling. He could catch two more pokemons from Kalos. They still have some mons left.

they have alot of gen 6 pokemon left but none that fit ash. so im leaning more towards an incomplete team. as much as i want ash to get lucario. ash has only ever caught 2 pre-gen pokemon that being Aipom and gligar

Who both evolve into Sinnoh Pokemon, both evolving in Sinnoh.

A past gen Pokemon may be caught if it has something new going for it, like re-typing or (mega) evo.
 
For those who wanted Ash or Serena to catch a Pancham, let's hope they catch a diferente one in a future episode. If none of the characters (Including Ash) catch a Pancham, then they never will, just like what happened to Teddiursa and Cubchoo..... Unfortunately. :sweat:
 
- It seems that evolution is off the books for Bunnelby (Diggersby being painted as criminal in XY012) and Inkay (Preview of Malamar ep, and Jame's track record of innocent Pokemon).
- Fletchling seems almost certain to evolve, perhaps just as soon as it gets a focus episode or two.
- Froakie, Chespin and Fennekin are still too early to call. Froakie's reserved tough-guy facade certainly fits with its evolutionary tree, and it could be patterned after Sceptile and pull off a full evolution. I hear Delphox is scheduled for an appearance sometime soon, so perhaps Fennekin won't go that far, but I can see it reaching Blaixen at a distant point (Serena's not doing much battling at the moment). Chespin's gluttony could be an indicator that it'll reach Quilladin status, and a Chesnaught doesn't seem beyond Clemont's ability to handle.
