Does anyone know when/how the new zealand demo will be released?

No, although we tend to get lumped in with Australia for events. So that would be invites to select Club Nintendo accounts initially, easily the worst distribution method thus far, and then select at select retailers later on, which would mean EB games for us.

From Serebii :
Various events that are being held across Europe have begun and some of them have started giving out the codes for the Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire demos. We now have complete confirmation from Switzerland, where codes are currently being distributed at the Swiss Toy Fair, that all demo codes will not be redeemable on the Nintendo eShop until October 15th. Currently, only The Netherlands, Switzerland and South Africa are listed as receiving the demo before the October 15th 2014 date.

I really hope that the codes we'll all be given before the 15th.

Ok I've been patient enough where the heck is the info for NAs demo? Are we even getting it? Its October 4th thats less then 11 days to give us some stupid in formation on where we can get it.

The code is redeemable starting October 15th, that doesn't mean the event for your country or region takes place before that. The first event in Belgium for these codes for example is the 18th.

3 days later, but at least the event is already announced. You know what's going on.

For all Americas, there's absolutely no information. I hope this is not a compensation for Europe because they're getting ORAS one week later.

It's been announced the Americas are getting the demo, so yeah, you're getting it. And why doesn't Europe deserve a compensation for getting the games a week later? We actually pay more for the games than the rest of the world does (they cost between 56 and 62 US Dollars here in Belgium depending on which store you go to), yet get the games last (and this doesn't just go for the Pokemon games alone, this goes for several videogame series, most toy lines and recently more and more movies) and get the least events (where is our Pinsir and Heracross distribution?). Also, we haven't gotten all the info either. So far we only know that it will be distributed at a convention in two weeks, as a sort of crowd-puller for the convention, so who knows how limited the codes will be for that distribution. No news yet about the mall tour, which is actually the main distribution event, as far as I know. And on the contrary to you guys, we still don't have any news about the Shiny Gengar and Diancie events except for the fact that we'll be getting them.

(where is our Pinsir and Heracross distribution?).

A different place to our Magmar/Electabuzz distribution.

Ah, the incredible Pinsir with just TM moves, and the amazing Heracross with just level-up moves.

Let's make this clear: The main reason we're worried, is precisely something related with the Heracross/Pinsir event.

These Pokémon were meant to be distributed with their corresponding Mega Stone (the opposite to the one you get ingame). But, for no reason, the Bug Pokémon were distributed through Wi-Fi, without the stone, and the promise of getting the stone weeks later (in mid September) with a serial code.

Later, the code started to be distributed... only if you have a Pokémon Trainer Club account. (In pokemon.com. Not the same as PGL). I had mine already, but then I got another bitter surprise: the code was distributed by mail, and only if your account was configured to receive spam in your mail before September 1st. Otherwise, you had no way to get the mega stone.

That was not that terrible. But given the poor organization to distribute the event, here we are a bit scared of something similar happening with OR/AS demo. No info, no info, no info, and then "you had to do something to get this but now it's too late, f**k yourself"

Which wasn't advertised anywhere. I seriously found out about that event by walking into the store to pre-order ORAS, despite keeping up with the news about events here on Bulbanews. Had I gone to pre-order the games a month later I would've missed it, not that it mattered since I already had Magmar, Magmortar, Electabuzz and Electivire. Ever since then I've been trying to visit the store every two weeks.

It's equally possible to be unrelated to the demo, but the latest tweet from Junichi Masuda is a retweet from a fan showing his jirachi dex entry on pokemon pinball: ruby and sapphire. Hmm..white rock has been covered by the text box on the official site like that pic covering the secret base on a screenshot showing your encounter with steven. White rock is said to grant wishes...could the white rock be/hold Jirachi's mega stone?

Not to mention that even if you were configured to get emails from them, it doesn't mean their mailing list was up to date. I have never received a newsletter from them.

Just pointing out its only the United States that has confirmed Diancie and Shiny Gengar distribution. People really need to stop lumping the rest of the Americas with the United States--its like lumping the rest of Europe with the UK in terms of events. We had the same deal with email code distributions for Pinsir/Heracross, and nothing was mentioned. I found out about it on reddit, and even though I qualified based on their criteria, apparently their mailing list is terrible.

Actually, 3 days ago the Shiny Gengar and Diancie distribution was announced (including all the details) for Chile, which by my knowledge is South-America, that's why I said Americas. I know it's not completely accurate since it's only two countries, but I wouldn't be surprised if more countries get the event as well. So if it seemed I was lumping all of countries in North- and South-America together, I apologize, because that's not what I was doing.

Canada's a weird case because it shares its site with the United States--there's confirmation for Game Stops, but past events where Canada was confirmed to host also mentioned EBgames.

Yep, Shiny Gengar and Diancie are announced to Chile. I'm not really sure about this, but I think the store that brings them has a commercial alliance with GameStop and that's the main reason why we get their events. I don't know about distributions in the rest of Latin America, specially when conflicts with some governments and their decisions are discouraging foreigners to make business (Chile is still an attractive target, but Argentina, Bolivia and Venezuela are becoming more or less serious cases, as far as I know)

Anyway, a Pokémon distribution has no point of comparison with the demo, and I already explained why I'm worried about the demo distribution.

Possible. The official site from my country said that there will be a Mega Evolving pokemon making its debut in the demo. If it's not the Lati twins, I'm betting on Jirachi because the demo location seems to take place near the space center.

Even if the Americas receive the demo after October 15th, it still would be nice to know how/when we're getting the demo. It is starting to feel like Poké Bank all over again (at least to those in the US).

So now Japan's got two means of getting the demo. Nice and all, and expected since it is Japan, but still no word on the U.S. At this point, I'm really hoping we won't have to go somewhere to get the code.

It's so frustrating to see them reveal various methods for literally everywhere except the US... I just want to know already if I'll be able to get it ugh...

I wish they'd just release the demo on the eshop on the same date world wide and not use the demo as a selling tactic to get us to buy tickets or go into certain stores.
Doubtless my local GAME stores won't have the codes as per usual so good bye mega stone.
