Since it looks like I'll die if I don't claim, allow me to explain why Jist is so eager to off me.
I'm the commuter. I.E. the mafia cannot kill me at night, even if they have a Strongman, should I choose to not post in this thread.
This is an X-Shot ability, and I chose not to use it last night because I didn't think I'd end up dead.

Another possibility that I came across when researching mafia roles when trying to make sense of pf's role claim, is that there could be a redirecting role. Call it a desperate maneuver on my part, but assuming Jist and I are both not scum, and I know I'm not scum, that is an explanation.
From what I can tell, there are three redirecting roles: Deflector, Redirector, and Bus Driver.
Assuming one of the mafiosos figured I'd be checked and one of them is one of the above roles, they could have purposely framed me.

As far as your accusation of no lynch on day 1, that was because at the time, halfway through the phase, I didn't have enough information to warrant voting for anybody, and I wasn't sure how much I'd be able to post for the remainder of the day phase due to work. As you said, I haven't played many games, with this really being the first true mafia game that I've survived beyond day 1. I was not aware that voting no lynch was a problem, nor had I intended for a "no lynch" bandwagon to start.

With regards to my views against the Mason claims, I had been inclined to believe them, and then I noticed what was potentially scummy behavior in their last minute lynch redirect. Am I wrong to have believed that as scummy behavior? Lynch redirecting is a big indication that the mafia wants someone gone or is trying to protect someone.

Fine, maybe the "most productive" line was a bit of an exaggeration, but I've definitely been one of the most transparent players in this game.
Jist on the other hand, doesn't post here often, usually bandwagons when he does, and all of a sudden he pops in out of the blue, claims to have some evidence against me, and disappears again without even mentioning what evidence he has. That's not suspicious at all.

I didn't think you were aiming for a no lynch bandwagon, but my comment was more about how I could see possible scum motivation in you voting no lynch.

I thought it was likely they got a claim from nghiavip408, which is what made them Neosquid vote for Aussie instead. I understood why you reached that conclusion though, but then you ended up disregarding them and making this really stretched out and nonsencial(which ftr i read after i made my reads list) scum motivation theory for them:

Sword Master, trust me when I say AE is not scum. Gaga and Squid, on the other hand...

I've been thinking about it. How stupid was their Mason claim? On the surface it seems dumb for scum to make such a claim, but Masons aren't a very common role, so the odds of a CC are low, and the utility of the Masons for the town is fairly high.
Well, what about attracting the attention of the cop, you might ask?
On Day 2, the cop is only one person and is not likely to reveal that he (or she) is the cop, but if the cop did get a scum read off of Gaga or Squid, you can bet that he (or she) would be very active against them. If the cop chooses to claim, then Gaga and Squid have at least two, maybe three, other buddies who can CC the claim and the Town would have no way of knowing who really was or was not the cop, the the scum would. If the cop didn't get lynched, they could take him (or her) out the following night phase. (In a game like this, I assume they'd have a Strongman kill to bypass any Doctor protection.)

That's my current theory.

Like okay, it could attract the Cop, but I have no idea why you took it as far that they also thought that if they ever claimed they're likely to get a scum partner to CC them. I think if the Cop scum read them, they'd at least check one of them instead of actively being against them in-thread(and maybe lie saying they're their top town reads or something to lessen the chances of a kill), and if they got a Mafia check and essentially busted their lie, getting one of their scum partners to cc would be getting three scum busted for the sake of one Cop.

I agree you are one of the more transparent players, but it's a shame you haven't been that forceful, you said you suspected nghiavip408 but never voted for them, and if you did, you might have gotten the lynch you in which you then berated Neosquid for causing a no lynch. When you put it that way, Jist comes off as really suspicious, but I see good Town motivation as to why he was quiet if it's to hide this supposed PR that then made him find out you're scum and no scum motivation as to why he'd take such a risk just to lynch you so early. Maybe if I knew your PR I'd find some scum motivation for Jist doing what he did.

Why do you trust AussieEevee so much anyway?

The only thing I see saving Maniacal now is some Cop cc or maybe some really good PR from Maniacal.

With regards to my theories, I work with what I have. I admit some of them are a little off-beat and a bit of a stretch, and you're right, I probably should be more forceful in the thread.
It's really just how my mind works.

I was actually going to put Gaga and Squid on my town reads list when I got back after Sabbath.
I'm still happy to post that, if anyone still cares.

I agree that it's possible, and if you want to take it a step further Jist could be a form of cop that can get check results that aren't true, but we'll learn a lot from this lynch whatever you flip and have new things to consider. You've got a scum check on you from a cop claim and the miller is dead and I don't see any better options.

EDIT: Woah, a Cop CC... Yeah I think I have a pretty good idea on who it is, and if I'm right in who claimed it, I'll suspect them more.
