Things We Want in Sun/Moon, but Definitly Won't Get!

- One use TMs or being able to sell TMs
- Get eaten by a Pokemon. Like gotta be more cautious.
- The ability to throw rocks or bait at Pokemon everywhere
- Limited bag space like R/B/Y - Hahaha imagine how hard that would be.

The ability to create Pokemon with the exact IV's, EV's, moves, etc. that you want, but only to be used in battles against other people. The competitive scene would be so much better without its biggest barrier for entry: having to actually obtain competitively viable Pokemon, usually through incredibly tedious means (or hacking/exploiting the game).

Agreeing with the ability to challenge gyms in any order, with the levels/number of Pokémon/evolution stage varying by number of badges, of course. To use Gen 1 as an example, if you were to beat Giovanni first, his team would just be a rather weak Diglett and Rhyhorn. If you were to beat Brock last, he'd have a team of something like Onix, Golem and the three fossils (evolved of course).

I'd like to have a rival like Silver or Blue again. Starting in Generation 3, pretty much every "rival" has been a friend to the protagonist. I'd love to have one who's more actively hostile again. Of course, if you have two rivals you can have both, creating a dynamic that would be unique to the series.

Another thing I want is an age setting on the player character, with the rivals adjusting to match. Doesn't have to be the exact age, but something like "kid/teen/young adult/adult/elder" would work. The game would change very slightly, similarly to the gender options.

A branching storyline where the ending or the climax of the game changes depending on the choices you make in the game.

Sadly, never going to happen.

Just for me personally, I'd like the level of wild Pokemon, level of trainers Pokemon and amount of Pokemon the gym leaders have to be determined by difficultly level. So if it's on easy, opponents will always be a lower level and have fewer Pokemon. On normal they are 1-2 levels within the level of your team and and have the average sized team. On hard they can always be 3-5 levels higher than you and gym battles could be full 6 on 6 battles.

If they have the levels changed based on this, you could go around the map in any order and create own pace for the game.

This ties into me wanting to be able to lose to my opponents. If you could lose, then certain opportunities may be gone. As an example, you lose a battle to your rival in the second town then on the next route, an evil team has taken over some building. When you finally battle the team and make your way to where the boss would be, they have already been beaten by your rival.

Another thing we won't see, mid battle evolutions!

Another mythical pokemon being made available to be caught in the game. A story without an evil team. A rival that picks the starter that is weak to yours.

Um, what are you talking about exactly? Hau is comfirmed to pick the starter that is weak to yours.
He seems more of a friend to you. I am talking about an actual rival that you are at odds against that has the advantage. I am saying that kind of rival wouldn't have a starter weak to yours.

To be fair, I don't think they've added a new ability with the exact same effect as a pre-existing one in a new generation. This isn't counting things like Insomnia/Vital Sprit or Air Lock/Cloud Nine in G3.

Being able to choose joining forces with good, evil, or neutral. Things are always so black and white with these games that there's no gray area. I wish they allowed choosing different paths to create something that'll keep you reseting the game to see how things would go in a different direction.

I got some more.

- 2 Gyms in each town of different types. This means 16 gyms in total so only two types would miss out. We can still only require 8 badges to get into the league, but we could either get all 16 badges or choose what types we want to fight.

- Anime Cries with the option of switching back to the original cries.

- Ability to take screenshots anywhere that can be synced to our Nintendo Account or saved to the SD.

- Contests like the anime which involve not only battling, but choosing moves that look good.

- A battle frontier as post game contest. After you finish the game, the battle frontier locations appear on the map.

- Fishing/Bug catching contest. With fishing, if you win then maybe you can get the super rod earlier?!?

Oh how I wish I could just buy Gamefreak and all the rights to Pokemon :sneaky:

MORE EEVEELUTIONS!!! >(
It could be possible for a new eeveelution to be introduce this gen. Nothing really rules it out. Has there been generations without one? Yes but I reckon it is still possible for this gen to introduce one.

Didn't gen V have no new Eeveelutions?

I'd really like to see a Dragon, Ghost and fighting type. There's some really good concept art out there for them.
