Alola Chapter of the Villain Arc begins
The Villain Arc enters a new phase with the beginning of the Alola Chapter, which focuses on the unexplained appearance of Ultra Beasts all over Pasio, together with the Aether Foundation's arrival in the region. Hau and Mina will both receive new Synga Suit Sync Pairs as part of this arc. Part one of the chapter is available in-game now, with the conclusion of the story to unlock over the next month.
This chapter is a permanent addition to the main story. Players will need to have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player in order to unlock this and other chapters of the Main Story Villain Arc.
This time-limited event is running as an accompaniment to the launch of the new Alola Chapter of the Villain Arc. Investigate the Foundation will run until June 1st, at 10:59pm (PDT).
Unlike regular Story Events, this Villain Event does not include any lineup bonuses to increase battle rewards. There are however special bonuses for Sync Pairs from Alola, who will have increased Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defence when used in missions for this event, giving them an easier time in completing stages.
In addition to other rewards such as event medals, players can collect Event Voucher J through battle rewards, to trade for custom Main Character & Solgaleo Legendary Spirit from the Exchange Items menu, which can be used to raise Main Character & Solgaleo to 6★ EX. Once raised to 6★ EX, their outfit changes to match Solgaleo, with a primarily yellow, white and red outfit with black accents.
Log-in Bonus
This event includes a log-in bonus over 14 days. Players can receive these bonuses up until May 14th at 10:59pm (PDT), so even if you're a couple of days late starting the event you'll still have the chance to receive all of the available gifts.

- The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 10:00pm (PT).
- To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
- The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
- All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
- Leftover Event Voucher J items will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per item at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes.
In conjunction with the Villain Event, two new Sync Pairs are making their Pokémon Masters EX debuts in limited-time Scouts. Both of these new sync pairs have expanded sync grids, and the ability to be raised to 6★ EX.
Sygna Suit Hau & Tapu Koko's Poké Fair Scout is live right now, alongside the start of the Investigate the Foundation Villain Event, and will run through to June 1st at 10:59pm (PDT). Sygna Suit Hau & Tapu Koko are an Electric-Type Tech Sync Pair that can create both Electric Terrain and a Fairy Zone. Their B-Move B-Electroweb lowers their opponent's speed by 2, while simultaneously raising all allies' speed by 2. In addition, their Trainer Move Maximum Power! raises their own Sp. Atk and Crit-Hit-Rate, and can reduce their own sync move countdown by 1 if used when a Fairy Zone is active. When an ally activates any Weather, Terrain, or Zone effects, their passive skill Melemele Ocean Breeze also allows them to increase the Special Move ↑ Next effect by one for all allies, allowing them to play a bigger role in battles.
Sygna Suit Mina & Tapu Fini will debut in a Poké Fair Scout starting April 29th at 11:00pm (PDT), and running through to June 1st at 10:59pm (PDT). Sygna Suit Mina & Tapu Fini are a Water-Type Support Sync Pair that can utilize both Fairy Zone and Rain Dance to support their team in various ways. Their B-Move B-Protect grants Damage Guard Next to all allies, as well as restoring 20% of their maximum HP, or 30% under Fairy Zone, while additionally returning any lowered stats to normal when the weather is rainy. Their Trainer Move Pretty as a Painting allows them to raise all allies Sp. Atk by four, as well as granting them gradual healing and applying the Critical-Hit Defense effect to the allied playing field. Their passive skill Team Whimsical Special DR 3 also reduces any special attack damage taken by all allies when a Fairy Zone is active.

In conjunction with the Investigate the Foundation event, the following four Event Gem Specials will be available in the purchase gems tab of the in-game shop until May 14th, at 10:59pm (PDT), offering discounted prices on paid gems.

As mentioned in our update earlier this week, an Alola Villain Social Rally is currently being held on the official English and Japanese Twitter accounts for Pokémon Masters EX. As of the time of writing, over 27,000 RTs have already been made combined between the English and Japanese tweets, securing 30x 5★ Alola Scout Tickets and 30x 5★ Scout Tickets for players, however players will need to reach 30,000 RTs total before unlocking the additional reward of 3000 Gems. Assuming all rewards are unlocked, these will be available to claim between May 28th, at 11:00pm (PDT), and June 28th, at 10:59pm (PDT)
