The Día de Muertos event for Pokémon GO will be returning once again for 2023. Día de Muertos, also known as the Day of the Dead, is a holiday observed in Mexico and other parts of the Americas that celebrates the lives and memories of friends and family who have moved on to the next world. The event will run from November 1st, at 10:00am to November 2nd, at 8:00pm local time. Cubone and Marowak wearing a cempasúchil crown will make their debut during this year's event.
Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active during the event period:
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 90 minutes
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for 90 minutes
- 2× Catch Candy
- Bonus Candy for transferring Pokémon
- Featured event Pokémon will appear even more often in the wild
- More encouters with featured event Pokémon when using Incense and Lure Modules
The Día de Muertos avatar items are making a return alongside the latest run of this event. These items will be available to purchase in the in-game shop during this event, and will continue to be available after the event ends.
Trainers can also get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.

Wooper and Paldean Wooper will be the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's Community Day for November 2023. During this event, both Wooper and Paldean Wooper will be appearing more frequently in the wild, together with their Shiny variants. The event will be held on November 5th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time.
The following event bonuses will also be active throughout the event:
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
- 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in Incubators during the event period
- Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
- Trainers can receive an in-game surprise by taking a few snapshots during Community Day
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day (active from 2pm to 10pm)
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust (active from 2:00pm to 10:00pm)
- The Pokémon GO Web Store will offer a Ultra Community Day Bundle, including 500 Poké Balls, one Poffin, and three Lucky Eggs, at a special discount rate
Trainers can get event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop.
Community Day Research
A Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, A Muddy Buddy, will be available for purchase at US$1.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in each local currency). This Special Research can also be gifted to any friend with a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher.
Community Day-themed Field Research and Timed Research will also be available. Amongst other rewards, players completing the Field Research will be able to earn additional encounters with Wooper and Paldean Wooper, Stardust, and Ultra Balls.
Community Day Featured Attacks
Wooper that are evolved into Quagsire during the Community Day event, or within five hours after it concludes while the Bonus Raid Battles are running, will learn the Charged Attack Aqua Tail. This move has 50 power in Trainer Battles, in Gyms, and in raids.
Paldean Wooper that are evolved into Clodsire during the Community Day event, or within five hours after it concludes while the Bonus Raid Battles are running, will learn the Charged Attack Megahorn. This move has 1100 power in Trainer Battles, in Gyms, and in raids.
Bonus Raids
Immediately following the scheduled end of the Community Day, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm local time, unique Four-Star Raids against Wooper and Paldean Wooper will take place. When Trainers defeat the Raid Boss, additional Wooper and Paldean Wooper will appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. Trainers can only join these raids using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes. Remote Raid Passes cannot be used. Wooper and Paldean Wooper appearing as a result of these raids will have the same odds of appearing as Shiny as during the main Community Day event.

Research Breakthrough Encounters
The following group of five Pokémon will continue to be available as unlockable Research Breakthrough encounters for Trainers who complete Field Research through to December 1st at 1:00pm (PST).
