Hello, Dogasu. It's been a while, since I just started school again earlier this month. I got a 3DS and Pokémon Y with some of my leftover financial aid money; and I'm about 9 and a half hours in since I picked it up last Friday. I'm enjoying how big Kalos is; and how they've managed to not only introduce new gameplay elements successfully, they've revamped old ones to make things interesting for both newcomers and true believers alike. It's also successfully made the transition to full 3D graphics. Seeing the world and how detailed and colorful it is; I'm going through the same emotions when I played Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time for the first time. Regarding Best Wishes: I'm sorry you were disappointed with it, but I enjoyed it and thought ShoPro did the best they could given how the Tohoku disaster threw a Gear Grind into their plans (which I think is more drastic than the GS Ball conundrum all those years ago). For my money, I enjoyed watching it; and I also am glad your recaps helped me reach a broader understanding of the franchise. I started watching the raw and subtitled versions around that time; so I could see myself what goes on the journey from Japanese to English-speaking audiences. I am personally going to miss Best Wishes, but the double whammy of Origins and XY has helped me cope fast. Origins was really good; telling a distinct, cinematic take on the first couple games; and also using elements from other adaptations to tell something of their own. With them setting up Mew at the end and the uniformly positive critical and fan response; I could see it becoming its own separate continuity (which is thankfully what I wanted; I was not among those who wanted to just gut the main anime in favor of Origins). I could see a model similar to Star Wars or the Marvel Cinematic Universe; given how Origins and the franchise as a whole have appeal that big. The XY series is pretty good so far. The animation is very slick, much like Best Wishes was; I like the design of Ash's new threads (I'm looking for a hat like his and Red's Fire Red/Leaf Green hat; with no luck), and I think Citron may be one of my favorite male companions. He's what Max should have been for me: he's a strong battler and also has the knowledge to match. I also like that he builds these gadgets and his whole backpack with the mechanical arms (I'm reminded of Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man). Bonnie is also pretty cute. I'm also excited to see where Serena goes. She seems like a nice lady; and I think being a part of Ash's past could set something up. Even with other series coming and going; I'm at least willing to give newer seasons a chance unlike a lot of other people. I'll be here to see what you make of the rest of Best Wishes as the dub winds down and makes way for XY. See you later: I'm training my Frogadier, Rash, and I just got my Torchic with the Mega Stone.
