April 1st is an excellent opportunity to have some fun, and it seems like Niantic and Pokémon GO are getting into the spirit of it with the An Excellent Opportunity event, running April 1st between midnight and 11:59pm local time.

Event Bonuses and Activities
The following event bonuses will be active throughout the event:
  • Nice Throws or better will register as Excellent Throws
Field Research
Event-themed Field Research will be available, awarding Trainers with encounters with Spinda when completed. These Spinda can be encountered in various patterns, and have the possibility of being Shiny.

Timed Research
Event-themed Field Research will be available. Trainers completing the Timed Research will earn a selection of items including Stardust, Poké Balls, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and 3 Golden Razz Berries.
