What was the first Pokemon you ever caught?

I remember being in second grade when Pokemon Blue and Red came out. The Pokemon craze was just about to hit America and I had Pokemon Blue. "Ash Catches a Pokemon" aired earlier that day for the first time and I wanted to catch a Pokemon so bad. I tried catching a Caterpie just like Ash but I didn't know how yet. (Remember I'm like seven or eight haha) After a few battles I ended up catching a Ratatta. I'll always remember catching my first Pokemon and seeing the Pokeball shake and settle. It was an awesome feeling.

What about you? What was your first Pokemon catch, when was it and what game?

Emerald-Zigzagoon. I don't remember if it was male or female, but I named it "Tokin" after the anime.

I don’t remember my actual first Pokémon game, but the first Pokémon I remember catching was either poochyena or zigzagoon in sapphire version.

It's been 15 years so I can't really remember, but it was definitely either a Zigzagoon or a Wurmple in Sapphire.

I quite possibly caught one when playing one of my brother's save files, of either Pokemon Yellow or Pokemon Diamond, but it has been a long time so I can't really remember. But when I started playing Crystal on an emulator (my first real Pokemon game) my first catch was a Pidgey. I named her Toko, and will always remember her.

Pokemon FireRed... I thiiiiiiiink it was either a bug type from Viridian, a Pikachu, or a Pidgey.

Pokémon Red and probably a Pidgey. And oh my goodness, that was almost twenty long years ago.

It was probably a Pidgey or a Rattata in Pokemon Red. I don't really remember.

I believe it was a Poochyena in Sapphire. Can't remember what gender it was, or what I nicknamed it though.

First Pokémon caught that was mine to keep forever? Oddly enough, my first game was colosseum. So it would have been Makuhita.

The first Pokémon I ever caught would be a Poochyena in Pokémon Emerald. Alas, the save file just vanishing into thin air, one fine day, means she is not with me anymore.

My first Pokemon game was Silver. I'm pretty sure that the first Pokemon I caught was a Pidgey. It's possible that it could have been a Ratatta and the game's save file is long gone, but I'm pretty positive that it was a Pidgey.

It either was Pidgey or Ratatta right at the first patch of grass in Pokemon Red just when I had access to Pokeballs the first time. Sigh, memories, soon after it's Gameboy release...
