The Isshu Region in the games

subwaymap.png

Interesting. It seems we CAN go all over Isshu.

Huh...

Are these places accessible immediately after you gain access to the Battle Subway?

Yeah, not a lot of routes...Serebii's only on Route 6 by the 5th Gym.

I saw a video though, and the routes look pretty big this time around though.

So... Isshu IS based on NY? SO does that mean trhat Lt. Surge is from Isshu being the Poke-Earth counterpart to the US? and not a lot of routes I guess... It sucks I've missed so much...)

So a bit of Isshu mythology courtesy of Pokebeach:

Shaga reveals that Reshiram and Zekrom were originally one Pokemon. Twin heroes formed a new country together with the dragon where humans and Pokemon could live together. But one day the brothers began to fight over the direction that the country should move in. The dragon began to fight along with them, and its body split in two, Reshiram siding with the older brother and Zekrom with the younger. The two dragons would battle each other until Isshu was destroyed, so they were put to sleep. Shaga admits that he doesn't know how to reawaken them.

I'm guessing that depending on the version and the Dragon N captures, the mythology differs slightly on which brother has which dragon? Judging from Pokebeach's video, they have White version.

I hope this is expanded on, exactly which direction the two brothers wanted to go. Reshiram seems like the one N should capture and also sprinkles a nice "light is not good" theme.

I also like how this makes it seem like N and the Protagonist are reincarnations of the two brothers since they oppose each other. Its perfect, N grew up with Pokemon, while the protagonist only recently received theirs, and a much older age than other protagonists meaning he didn't grow up with them. Not only that, but N seems a few years older than the protagonist as well, and both fight each other for opposite results.

Whoa...that's pretty neat.

I wonder how Kyuremu fits into it?

Also, I saw on Serebii that A LOT of new areas opened up pre-E4 and tons of old Pokemon begin to appear in the wild. Awesome.

Do you guys think Hiun city's the most epic Pokemon RPG city yet?

I myself think it puts even the Gamecube RPGs cities to shame.

If you need your memory refreshed, here's a video of the full tour of Hiun minus the road to the desert.

Responses would be great. Actually I love all of the cities I've seen in the game so far, they're actually city sized, not 5 houses.

I actually had a thing a few minutes ago... I say Kyuremu is the essince of the one dragon basicly formed from what was left of the dragon when he split into Reshiram and Zekrom basicly being the Viod to their Yin/Yang thing...

And that's good I wonder if they'll have a lot of Gen III pokemon...? If they don't that might be evidence of a R/S Remake

Maybe Kyuremu is the body of the original dragon? It's ice-type because, in essence, it's "soul" has split into two and become Zekrom and Reshiram.

Just my $.02.

I have a similer idea but this is the wrong thread... maybe you should go to the Comfirmed pokemon thread...

Can anybody create a Game map of Isshu with labels for all locations, routes included?

I put a spoiler around the link, just so people don't accidentally click on it if they don't want to watch. Hehe.
I found a good video...Well it's an alright video. Of the Isshu region. The video creator did it all in 15 minutes, so he kinda rushed through and skipped a lot, but many places appear in it...He is missing a lot though, Like Black city/White forest and such, BUT there is a really cool part with the victory road badge stations (Like in Red, Blue, and Yellow) It's pretty EPIC.:-D
I just wish he would have took his time a little more, and made 2 or 3 videos spanning across Isshu...

I was just thinking, sitting in my NYC house about what would happen if Indian Point blew up. Well................. Catostrophes.
The more I thought about it I said, "Hey wait, wasn't there a furnace thing in Isshu?" So I stopped and said, "Judging by its northwestern location from NYC/Huin, could these things be parallels?"
I do not have the game, and I do not know squat, but if that is an energy type anything it is most likely a parallel to the Indian Point Nuclear Reactor. What do you guys think?

This theory was really farfetched and random, but give it your time.
