Maybe it's just me, but I really don't want to see Mega Eeveelutions.

We already have Mega Eeveelutions silly. Entei, Raikou and Suicune ;P.

What about Mega Espeon, Mega Umbreon, Mega Leafeon, Mega Glaceon, and Mega Sylveon?

NO.

Personally, the eeveelutions are still being overhyped everywhere. The last thing I need is the eevee-Megas getting overhyped beyond overhyped and rubbed in my face 24/7. I love my Umbreon, but no.

I decided to speedart mega eeveelutions i made so i'll start with flareon!

I call this eeveelution Lumeon!

This is a speedart of mega vaporeon which i called Vandeon

Coming Next: Leafeon and Sylveon!

...

You do know that Mega Evolutions don't have unique names, right? They're just called "Mega Flareon" or "Mega Jolteon".

I think Eeveelution would be fine if they just got a small stat boost like Raichu, Alakazam, Butterfree and so on. Either adding 10 base stat points to their 95 stat or one of their 65 stats.

A defense counterpart to the Assault Vest would help Flareon.

A question I've had about Mega Evolution: why is it Kalos-exclusive? If we can ME Pokémon that aren't anywhere close (Blaziken, Lati@s), then why can't we evolve native Pokémon (aren't the stones naturally-occuring? Then why not Kalos?). I guess I'm just really confused right now.

It's Kalos-exclusive because that's the only region available since Gamefreak came up with it. That's pretty much it. I don't think a concrete in-verse explanation was ever given... Either way I expect they'll fudge it when games come out in other regions to allow Mega Evolution there as well.

Mega evolution occured in pokemon origins, Mewtwo:prologue to the Awakening, and Genesect and the Legend Awakened not in Kalos, but it is a different canon though.

Sycamore theorized that Mega Stones were originally evolutionary stones exposed to the energy of AZ's ultimate weapon. Since that weapon only affected the Kalos region, that's probably why its Kalos exclusive.

Kalos exclusive...for now. Depending on how they shape up the metagame and/or how popular they are in the official play, we may see some new reasons as to why Mega Evolutions could occur in other regions,.

I don't think they're just going to drop Mega Evolutions. Now that we have them, they'll probably stick around and they'll find ways to integrate them into future games and regions, probably including remakes. I expect we'll also see more Megas being made and included over time, just like new pokemon. (Swampert and Sceptile please...)

It's plausible enough to say that Sycamore developed a way to recreate the energy from AZ's machine and can manufacture mega stones. This is part of the reason I would like X and Y to get sequels, but that's just a dream for the next year or so.

Now that I think about it, the machine was activated again in X and Y. That may have made other mega forms possible. Maybe AZ is so tall because he mega evolved and the same is possible for Cellam, Serena, Tierno, Trevor, and Shauna.

In Pokemon Origins it is very likely that Mr. Fuji found them in Kalos. He is aware of the Kalos region, studied Mega Evolution, and traveled to far away places. The movie 16 Mewtwo just gave the middle finger to everything about how mega evolution works in the games though.

It was confirmed that AZ's height was a result of his exposure to the Ultimate Weapon, but IIRC, Calem, Serena, Tierno, Trevor, and Shauna weren't (Lysandre offered it to them in X, but I don't think it actually happened), so they wouldn't be able to do so.

Which pokemon should NOT get a mega evolution?

We've had discussions about what should have megas and suchlike somewhere, but...

Are there any pokemon who you specifically don't want to get a mega evolution?

It can be something you've heard people calling for getting a mega, which you disagree with, or it can just be something you generally think should not have one, for whatever reason. This isn't really for complaining about already existing megas you disapprove of, but I guess you could slip something in about those too.

Personally, I think the rest of the pseudo-legendaries shouldn't have megas. And other already-overpowered pokemon in general, really. I think megas should generally go to a very select number of overlooked or underpowered pokemon, with a few exceptions here and there. Also, one thing I really, really do not want to happen is mega eeveelutions. I really love the eeveelutions. Giving them megas just seems... wrong. To me, at least.

So, what are your thoughts?
