Man Wants Human/Cartoon Character Marriages Legalised

I find this disturbing. This doesn't operate within any form of logic.

Seriously. How would they be uh... you know intimate. I've never met someone who liked a cartoon want to marry them and even if they did, not to the extreme.

To put this article in one word: Disturbing. (Kind of reminds me of those commercials that I used to see on Nicktoons Network a while back, where the people would pretend that cardboard cutouts of cartoon characters were their best friend).

Personally, I find this hilarious. Just imagine how pissed off the guy will get when Shipping artist start drawing the guy's "wife" with other people, lol.

So, can I marry Bumblebee? I mean, he's just soooooooo dreamy... I'm kidding! (Seriously though, I don't think of Bumblebee like that. I may be crazy, but I'm not insane.)
If you marry a cartoon character, all the other people who liked that character like that might have it out with you...
Oh God, you have a point. How many fangirls would kill each other for the chance that they could marry Starscream? Oh the humanity!

Haha, that was posted on 2 other forums I go on. I thought it was hilarious.

Oh dear lord.
I never thought it would come to this.
Imagine if this was passed in North America how many spouses Edward Cullen would have?
Hilarity insues in 5...4...3...2...

The human race certainly is fascinating.

At any rate, you can't keep a fictional character all to yourself unless you make them up. Characters are meant to be enjoyed by people all over the world; there'd be absolutely no intimacy involved in that sort of psuedo-relationship.

And, could one really stay with someone who's merely a drawing or a body of pixels? Never hearing them say "I love you too"?

Granted, you can't help who or what you fall in love with, but this idea will never get off the ground.

This is going to keep me twitching for a while when people will say "Well if a man could marry a man or a woman marry a woman, why can't a man/woman marry a cartoon character?" as a "defense" against gay marriage.

...I couldn't even type out that question-defense without dying inside. The differences are so staggeringly obvious that...okay, brain's imploded at this point.

OK, that is a little...strange and out there. So basically how on earth would this work? Would you have a cardboard cutout of the character? It be a pretty messed up idea. Its the same as asking, I drew a picture of the perfect person for me, can I marry it as I can't find said person in real life?

Its like in futurama when they showed the propaganda video of people maing out with robots and eventually procreation stopped and the human race was doomed (it really won't go onwhere near that with cartoon characters, we'd have some people going along with this, but most won't)

Wonder if Fred Flinstone would get p*ssed if someome from the "3D" world went for his Wilma. Lol

I wonder how he will get around to having intercourse with a cartoon character????

This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why I lost all faith in the human race.

I hope this guy is serious, as stupid as this is, it's quite funny.
