At a guess, I would say the April Fool’s Day theme was just activated.

No, not brilliant. 16:51 on March 31st is not April Fools. I can scarcely read anything on here and I can't even change the theme to something with legible words! At least give me multiple options for the April Fool's theme, even if they're all lightbulb-based and greyscale.

It’s already April 1st in a decent chunk of the world, and that would be a lot of extra work for our Staff Artists.

Nope. We try to cover as much of the time zones as possible. It'll probably be gone sometime in the middle of tomorrow.
Even then, there may be vestiges that stick around, like renamed threads and so forth.
