Does anyone here upload artwork to animeonline.net?
Their License Argreement / TOS grants them full rights over the artists' work -- do NOT upload stuff there if you wish to remain the owner of your own work! They can sell your work for their own profit.
They know that almost none reads the TOS when they sign up at forums, and have decided to exploit that in an unacceptable manner.
Magnatude, someone I know from another site (AnimeX.com), noticed this. For this reason, when he kindly wrote tutorials for AnimeOnline.net's forum goers, he did not upload his images to their server, but hosted them himself -- that resulted in his posts getting censored by the administration.
I'd also like to note that this issue is currently being worked on. The admin promised to fix the TOS. You can view the original warning thread on the AnimeX.com boards here:
http://www.animex.com/interactive/mb/index.cfm?fa=view_topic&ForumAction=ViewTopic&postid=192863
And before you jump into conclusions, the issue has not yet been resolved. The animeonline.net armin modified his post (which is the updated TOS) after Magnatude said that he was satisfied. Here is the "fixed" TOS:
ALSO, this doesn't concern AnimeOnline only. There could be other "free services" out there with the same kind of License Agreement / TOS, designed to rip people off.
It would be nice if you guys passed this warning to your friends on other boards and communities.
Thanks,
-Kadabra.
EDIT: AnimeX.com is a perfectly safe and good place to upload your artwork to!

Clearly, that person is still trying to deceive artists.AnimeOnline.net TOS said:...
By posting messages, uploading files, or otherwise providing any material to us for display on the Service, you are representing that you are the owner of the material, or are making your submission with the express consent of the owner of the material. In addition, when you post a message, upload a file, or otherwise provide us with material for display on the website, you are granting AnimeOnline a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive, unrestricted, worldwide license to:
1. Use, copy, sublicense, adapt, transmit, publicly perform or display any such communication.
2. Sublicense to third parties the unrestricted right to exercise any of the foregoing rights granted with respect to the communication.
The foregoing grants shall include the right to exploit any proprietary rights in such material, including but not limited to rights under copyright, trademark, service mark or patent laws under any relevant jurisdiction.
