With Beauty and Grace Solo Event launches in Pokémon Masters EX alongside debut of Shauna in Spotlight Scouts

Building on from the recently released Kalos Chapter of Pokémon Masters EX's Villain Arc, Shauna from Pokémon X and Y is making her Masters EX debut in new Spotlight Scouts, alongside the launch of a new Solo Event, With Beauty and Grace.

Solo Event: With Beauty and Grace
This new event focuses on Shauna and Flannery, as they try to learn how to become cool grown-up beauties like the Champion Diantha and other trainers who they admire. This event is available in-game now, and will continue until January 30th, at 9:59pm (PST). By completing battles during this event, players can earn Event Voucher T items, which can be exchanged for a variety of valuable items, including 5★ Scout Tickets. Players can also take on event missions for additional Gem rewards and for more story content.

As usual for events of this type, players will have an increased chance of receiving bonus rewards if they take on event battles using teams that feature specific sync pairs. The more of these sync pairs that players place in their lineup, the greater the bonus received. The applicable Sync Pairs and reward rates are as follows:

• Shauna & Chestnaught: +60% (x1.6) Bonus Rewards
• Melony & Lapras, Glacia & Glalie: +40% (x1.4) Bonus Rewards
• All other sync pairs with the Pigtails or Grown Woman theme skills: +20% (x1.2) bonus rewards

These bonuses stack additively, so having a team consisting of Shauna & Chestnaught, Melony & Lapras, and Glacia & Glalie, would grant a combined +140% (x2.4) rewards.

Players will also receive an additional strength bonus for sync pairs with the Pigtails or Grown Woman theme skills, who will have increased Attack, Defense, Special Attack and Special Defence when used in missions for this event, giving them an easier time in completing stages.

Players should also note the following when playing this event:

• The number of plays available for Daily Extreme Battle 1 are reset every day at 11:00pm (PT).
• To participate, players must have completed Main Story Chapter 1: The More the Merrier (Normal) in single-player.
• The sync pairs that appear as opponents in battle have different capabilities than those players can actually obtain.
• All mission completion rewards must be claimed within three days of the mission period ending.
• Leftover New Year Ticket B and New Year Ticket B+ items will be automatically converted to coins at a rate of 10 coins per item at the end of the event, and sent to players' Present Boxes.

Shauna Spotlight Scouts
Shauna & Chestnaught make their Pokémon Masters EX debut in these limited-time Spotlight Scouts, as a tie-in to the Kalos Chapter of the Villain Arc. This new sync pair has an expanded sync grid, and the ability to be raised to 6★ EX. Raising them to 6★ EX will change Shauna's outfit to a Black shirt and Green shorts, with reddish-pink highlights, similar to the design of a shiny Chestnaught.

Shauna & Chestnaught are a Grass-type Support Sync Pair. Their Spiky Shield move allows them to take a defensive posture which nullifies opponents moves, and deals recoil damage to opponents who attempted to hit them with physical attacks. In combination with their Team Dauntless Defender and Block and Charge 3 Passive Skills, which buff allies and charge the move gauge whenever Spiky Shield nullifies a move, this pair is a strong tank that provides solid support to their entire party.

This Spotlight Scout will give players a Support Move Candy Coin as a bonus present for the first three times players perform a Sync Pair Scout x11. The Spotlight Scout also includes a daily discount, where players can perform a single scout for x100 paid gems. This daily discount can be used 1 time per day during the entire length of the scout.

In addition to the regular Spotlight Scout, Trainers can also take advantage of a Spotlight Scout + Present! Limit 3!, a special Sync Pair Scout requiring paid gems, that, as the name implies, can be used up to 3 times. Players will receive a 50% discount on their first Sync Pair Scout x11 for this special Spotlight Scout, making it 1,500 Gems rather than the usual 3,000. As an added bonus, players will also receive bonus items every time they do a Sync Pair Scout x11 for this special Spotlight Scout. The bonuses that are received are as follows.

1st Time (50% off)

• Custom Sync Orb for Shauna & Chestnaught x200

2nd Time

The 5★ Master Scout Ticket O allows Trainers to use the Courtney Guarenteed Ticket Scout, ensuring they scout Shauna & Chestnaught.

Both the Spotlight Scout and Spotlight Scout + Present! Limit 3! will be available until February 5th, at 9:59pm (PST). The associated Ticket Scout will be available until February 12th, at 9:59pm (PST).
