When the anime ends, what do you guys hope the final episode will be like?

Will it be epic, with a bunch of Ash's old friends and Pokemon appearing? Or will it just sort of... end?

With a lot of shows on TV, the ending is never planned, since the story was intended to continue but the show gets cut. (See: My Name is Earl, Xiaolin Showdown...) I have a feeling with such a long running series as Pokemon, the same thing will happen. The next season will be dreamed up in the minds of writers... but will never come. And the show will just stop at the end of the previous season.

Cheesy Post will be Cheesy

The dream ending I want is an Ash junior or at least a kid who resembles Ash, but looks up to him who is playing with Pichu. He wears Ash's old hat that he got from Prof. Oak (Gary), but doesn't know it was Ash's. Then it ends with him saying that he himself will become the very best there ever was. End it with the first original theme as they go to credits with pictures of characters deemed important to say what happened to them.

Such as Ash became a Pokemon Master, Paul beat Brandon, Brock is a great doctor and has a family with Nurse Joy, May is a top coordinator as well as Dawn, only Dawn has gone successful with her Buneary in his modeling career, Jesse and James are retired, Gary is obviously a great Professor, Misty is the best water-type Gym Leader, and they all lived happily ever after.

All I can see is, Ash sending off his kid to go to his first gym battle, don't think they'll show whoever hey'll end up with cuz that's just asking for trouble. For the ending credits they'll show Ash's kid battling the first gym leader and becoming friends like what happened with Ash. Show him become friends with a girl. I don't know if I like the idea of his son having a Pikachu too, I think he should get some thing else and blast off an evil team with it, having the evil team follow him and his friends, than it ends. Or maybe have the ending credits show Ash and some of his past adventures, like how he got Pikachu and meet all of his friends and rivals??

ALL the characters, minor or not, rival or not, group hug.

Awww! ^____________^

I support both of these, if just to see Ash in a suit again :D

My dream ending...hmm...Ash vs. Paul at a champion league (both champions of their respective regions, of course); final pokemon are against each other, they make a move and some epic music is playing. Flash back montages play for a few seconds, Ash's friends are seen watching (this will be set a few years in the future :p) and all of a sudden, the two pokemon's moves collide and it all ends.

Basically the end of DP 188, but with no resolution :p

Yeah, you can shoot me for cliches XD

My dream ending...
I've always had the same one since I was little, of course it is a dream ending so...
I want Ash to face off his father who is a Pokemon Master and defeat him therefore declaring him a master(after some big epic search for him which finally reveals Ash's backstory and why he strives to be a master. Also, y'know some dramatic violent scenes and stuff.) and then I want to see a party in Pallet town like a big reunion. Then I want to see an epilogue that skips into the future(with Ash finally aging) that shows Ash and Misty at their wedding then another time-skip that shows the two sending their child off on his/her adventure with their kid having a Pichu. And something good finally has to happen to the TRio. Then in the credits we see how the other characters have been getting along, maybe a pic of like May and Drew's wedding or something and the others as the screen fades to black while playing the original theme song. And at the end in the bottom screen instead of saying "To Be Continued..." it should say "The End."
And that is my dream ending that I love so much. If all that happened my life would be complete. XD

Will it happen? I seriously doubt it, maybe a portion of it, if I'm lucky.
Should it happen? If it did I'd go all fangirling crazy.

Oh, it also, needs an emotional scene that makes me cry XD

Ash battle's all his old adversaries(everyone Pete pebble men, Morrison A.J,Everyone) in huge tourney with the exceptions being facing Tyson Paul and Tobias in the champion league and winning. All the remains villainous teams will unite under a new powerful evil Morrison and everyone would have to stop him. Ash then would look for Ho-oh and have to beat Silver(who is his dad) to catch him. After catching Ho-oh Ash is declare by Meowth(who Ash caught) a Pokemon Master

Pikachu dies. The end.

Meh, I dunno. I personally wouldn't mind an ambiguous ending. Never really thought about a finale episode to Pokemon to be honest, the very thought of this show ending just seem weird to me personally. I've never had an issue with Ash's age so I don't care if he stayed 10 for the next 50 years and the thought of the anime ending has never crossed my mind, so I'm not sure about this one.

Well, in short...

The air was crisp and cold that night in the Kanto region. The stadium was silent, as all of Ash's travling compainions watched with anticipation at the epic battle that was taking place. Ash was down to his last two Pokemon, while his opponent still had three left. As Ash's Charizard panted from the heavy damage it has taken from the the last two Pokemon, Ash couldn't shake the tense feeling that was coming over his body.

Never before has Ash come so close to finally reaching his goal. Not only has he managed to win the Kanto League and beat the Elite Four and their Champion Lance, but now he was facing off against one of the best of the best. The person everyone reveared as a true Pokemon Master...

As Red stood silent, never once needing to issue a command to his Pokemon. It was like his Pokemon could tell what he was thinking, and would react accordingly. As he watched his Venasure finally collapse from exhaustion as the ref. called it unable to battle, he returned it and pulled out his next Pokemon. He couldn't help but grin, as no one before has managed to push him and his Pokemon this far in a long time.

Tossing his Poke'ball into the air and releasing his next Pokemon into battle, both Ash and Charizard tensed up even more.
Red's Charizard let out a mighty roar, as it stared down Ash's Charizard. Ash's Charizard tried his best not to let it intimidate him, as Red's Charizard charged foward.

"Charizard! Dodge it and fly into the air!" Ash commanded, as his Charizard barely managed to avoid being slamed against the wall by Red's. Red's Charizard didn't give up the chase, as he flew straight up after Ash's.

"Charizard! Dragon Breath!" Ash called, as it about faced and blasted Red's Charizard in the chest with all the might it could muster.

Red's Charizard was sent flying back, but Red mearly had a sly grin on his face as his Charizard quickly recovered and charged at Ash's Charizard. Before Ash had time to warn his Charizard, Red's had already slamed into at full force. Red grind, as his Charizard started to push Ash's back down to the ground.

Ash could feel the sweat pouring down his neck, as he yelled to Charizard with all his might: "Quick! Turn it around and use Seismic Toss!" As Charizard struggled with all his might, he saw the ground coming very fast. Even using all his streagth, Red's Charizard wasn't about to let that happen. As the two Charizard fought for control, the ground closing every so quickly, you could hear a pin drop as one of them was slamed to the ground and the other flew back into the air...

...

...

...

... Red's Charizard growled as it slowly picked it's self back up. Scars now all over it's body, it flew up back into the air. Red appeared deep in thought as his Charizard had now made his way back up to Ash's level. His sly grin returned, as his Charizard got that grin as well. Bright light started to shine in it's mouth, as one could see intense flames build up in it's throught.

Ash knew right away what Red was planing, and knew there would be no way for his Charizard would be able to take it, and there was no way it could dodge in time. There was no choice. Ash would have to use the same move he tought his Charizard just for this sort of event...

"CHARIZARD! BLAST BURN!!!"

As the two strongest attacks of Charizards collided, a power struggle ensared. The power they were emitting was far too intense for the attacks to handled, and a massive explosion lit the night sky like it was the middle of the day. The next few seconds were by far the most stressful Ash had ever experanced... But finally, both Charizards had fallen to the ground.

"... Both Charizards are unable to battle!" The ref. called, and the screen showing the two pictures of the Charizards had dulled out.

Ash could feel the adrenaline corsing through his vains, as both he and Red were finally down to their last Pokemon. As Ash tried to steady his hand enough to call his Charizard back, he looked over the Pokemon on his sholder... The one that has been with him through out his entire journey...

"... You ready, buddy?" Ash asked, as Pikachu gave a swift nod yes. As his Pikachu jumped onto the field, Red got a sly smile as he called his Pokemon back. Throwing his final Poke'ball into the ring, his own Pikachu was ready for this final battle.

Several seconds passed, as the both trainers contemplated their next move... Finally, Ash broke the silence.

"Pikachu! Quick Attack!" Ash commanded, as Pikachu charged at Red's before it had time to react. Red's was sent flying back, but quickly recovered and bounced off the wall with it's own Quick Attack. Pikachu was also sent flying but just barely managing to recover before hitting the wall, and lanched a Thunderbolt at Red's Pikachu.

Red's barely managed to dodge, as his Pikachu retailated with a Thunderbolt of its own. The two Pokemon spent several seconds dodging the others Thunderbolts, before Red started to get bored with this tactic as his Pikachu finally broke the stalemate with a Quick Attack. Pikachu was sent rearing back and smacked against the wall, just barely managing to pick it's self up.

"Pikachu! Get close with Quick Attack and then use Iron Tail!" Ash commanded, as Red's had the same idea. As the two Pikachus charged at each other, their tails turning as hard as iron, they both swong their tails at each other in a massive collision. The blast was intense, as both Pikas were sent flying in opposite direction.

Before Ash's Pikachu could react however, Red's had already recovered and fired off a Thunderbolt that had shocked Ash's Pikachu senseless. Red wasn't about to let this moment go to waste, as his Pikachu charged at Ash's with a Quick Attack. Pikachu was sent flying back, hitting the wall hard and falling to the ground almost lifelessly.

Ash was at a lose for words, as several seconds passed. Just before the ref. was ready to call it, Pikachu started to struggle to get to it's feet. He was barely able to see anything, as that attack had knocked him senseless. The blurred world around him, he could barely make out his trainer in his current fuzzy vision.

Many things ran through his head at the moment. All they had worked for, all they had ever wanted was now just in their grasp. He looked over to see Red's Pikachu, who was mearly waiting to see what his action would be. Heh, at least he had the dignity to not attack a Pika when he's down.

Pikachu almost fell in pain. The ref. was almost tempted to call it now, but he was trained not to call it unless the Pokemon was clearly kocked out. Ash could hs entire boody shaking as thiese events transpired, as Pikachu looked at his trainer and his worried look.

This was what Ash had always dreamed... A chance to be a Pokemon Master...

... They couldn't give up so easily...

Multiple memories flashed through Pikachu and Ash's heads... The day they met... Catching their first Pokemon... Their first Gym Badge...

... Ash wouldbe the very best...

Meeting all their friends they on their journey... All the encounters with Team Rocket... All the close calls they had...

... Pikachu would be the very best...

All the Legendary Pokemon they've met... All the Leagues they've been in...

'... WE will be the very best!'

It was as if Pikachu had just used recover, as he got back on his feet with little effort when he had been struggling so much before. It was amazing... In the moment, it was as if both his and Ash's minds had become one. Both of their thoughts could be clearly heard in each of their heads, and they both felt like they could take down a Groundon in that very instant.

Red smiled as he quickly knew what had happened. Maybe they have what it takes after all...

Ash's Pikachu wasted no time, charging at Red's full speed with Quick Attack. As you could almost hear an orchestra play as if to celebrate their new ound power, Red's didn't even had a chance to dodge as it was sent flying back. Pikachu kept up this moment, firing a Thunderbolt that shocked it like he had done to him earlier.

As Red's was starting to recover, Pikachu wasted no time closing the gap and started to beat Red's senseless with a barrage of Iron Tails, letting loose one final Iron Tail that sent Red's flying back into the wall. Pikachu was on a roll, but Red and his Pikachu weren't about to give up just yet.

Red's Pikachu started to charge up energy, but both Ash and Pikachu knew what he was up to though, and knew what they needed to do. Even though they forgot that move way by in Unova, with this current surdge of power they could feel that power they once had starting to come back in almost a instant.

As electrisity surdge all around them, both Pikachus charged at each other.

'VOLT TACKLE!!!'

A massive explosion from their collision rocked the stadium as a huge dust cloud cover what was going on. Seconds felt like hours, as both trainers watched intensely. Finall the dust cloud cleared... And only one Pikachu was standing...

"... Pikachu is unable to battle!" The ref. called, as the tension in the air could be cut with a knife. "And the winner is..."

Both trainers could hear their hearts beat, as the next few seconds felt like the longest moments of their life...

...

...

"... ASH KETCHUM!!!"

The growd cheered with all their might, as Pikachu could finally sit down and have a well deserved rest. Ash just stood in shock and awe... He... He finally did it... It was so much to finallly take in...

He had beaten the Pokemon Master...

It took a few seconds before Ash started grin, which turned into a giggle of glee, before he started laughing in joy.

"YES!" He yelled as he started to jump for joy. "WE DID IT!!!" He yelled as he ran towards Pikachu. Pikachu looked over to him and smiled. In truth he was just as excited as Ash was, but was too worn out to celebrate.

As Ash bent down and put Pikachu on his sholder, he looked over to Red who was comferting his. As Red put his Pikachu in it's Poke'ball, he looked over to Ash and smiled. He got up and walked over to him.

There was a few silent seconds that passed, before Red extended his hand to Ash. Ash stared at his hand for a few seconds, before he grinded and shook hands, as the crowd cheered for the new Pokemon Master...

--------------------------------------------

Ash and Pikachu got up early that next morning, as they stood at the very edge of Pallet Town. The same place they first started their journey not long ago... Ash and Pikachu looked at each other, understanding each others every thought. As the sun shown on the horizon, Ash heard many foot steps behind him.

Behind, all his friends he had met on his journey were right behind him. It was silent as Ash looked back and stared at them. He smiled, as the groupe congratulated him on his success.

After they were done, they all looked at the raising sun. Ash and Pikachu knew, though, that their journey wasn't over. Even though they beat a Pokemon Master, they were still far from a Pokemon Master yet.

With a smile, Ash and Pikachu ran off into the sunshine, all their friends following close behind as they started to flash back to the long journey that had take place...

*Cue the first anime opening song*

...

Yeah, I've thought about this a bit if you couldn't tell. :sweatlol:

My dream finale, you ask? Quite simple; Ash finally wins, whether it be a single region's league or the title of Pokemon Master itself, and retires, passing the torch on to the current region's player character (whom he probably would have encountered earlier and taken on as a student of sorts). This would be the setup to a sequel series all about said new hero's adventures, with Ash perhaps staying on as a recurring mentor or something, but otherwise staying out of the limelight and letting the new character(s) shine.

One final epic battle in which his most powerful Pokemon. And his friends are cheering him on, be them in person or TV or w/e. I don't ask for anything else. -_-;

I'd like to see something simple, Ash returning to Kanto, getting back Pidgeot, saying hi to Brock and Misty... and finally, returning home from a big journey.
At the very end, a few years into the future, he will be a Frontier Brain, and, like a lot of you said, he will send his kid into a journey with a Pichu...

And yes, his wife will be Dawn :dizzy:

Ash winning the regional league after an amazing 6/6 battle with the champion and receives the trophy and the title of a pokemon master. He returs to Kanto, to discover his mother prepared a huge party (with lots of older characters).

Then maybe he would start a journey to know more about pokemon or just stay home.

I would love it if Ash story would end in Best Wishes. Not that I hate him, it would just be the perfect moment.
Ash wins the Unova league, and gets a chance to defeat the Unova Elite four and become the Champion-In-Training, guided by Alder. Iris would become the new Gym Leader instead of Drayden. A few years later, Ash can finally become a full champion and Alder retires. The last scene ends with an adult Iris and a girl, who plays with a Pikachu and Haxorus. Then, a shadow appears. The girl runs at the shadow and says: "Hi dad! How are you doing?". The Shadow reveals itself to be an adult Ash, who apparently married Iris and have a kid. His last lines are:
"I'm now, the very best, everyone, gave me the best of wishes!".
"Oh Ash, you're such a kid, you never change, aren't you"? Would Iris say and giggles. The last scene ends with Ash playing with Pikachu and his dauther

What about Team Rocket?
Team Rocket failed in the last mission they had, against N. When Team Rocket is finally disbanded, the TRio still wants to prove they can capture Pikachu. When they finally try to capture Pikachu, they see what kind of horrible thing they do all the time. The TRio ends up in jail. When they are set free, James asks Jessie to marry him and she says yes. Then, they open a 5 star restaurant. The last time they are seen, they were playing in a park, with a son, blushing at the dauther of Ash and Iris.

hmm...Ash finally going home and spending time with his mother while thinking about his friends and rivals.
(300th post! YEAH!)

Ash goes through Kanto again, wins the league, beats the champion. Become a pokemon master with Pikachu winning for him on his last battle using thundershock (or volt tackle if he didn't forget it, fail writers). All his friends have finally finished their goals and everyone meets in Pallet Town where Ash first started his journey. Then it ends.

Hmm, I have a few in mind, but it comes down to we 1)See Ash and Pikachu walk off into the sunset on another journey, 2)See Ash about to face a champion and 3)See Ash and Gary about to start a battle or have Charizard and Blastoise about to battle (This can be in either Pallet Town or a League Tournament).

In any of the scenarios we'd see cameos from most if not all the characters. Any person that had traveled with Ash would be shown at least. If it was a league match or Ash vs Gary in Pallet i'd like to see all Ash's travleing companions there watching the math.
