Awkward X and Y moments

When you play X or Y and get a million Poké Dollars in about a week or less of playing, but then get like 50 from most battles in Gen I and Gen II games.

She kind of says the same thing if you are a girl. I don't remember the quote but she says something to that effect. I was looking on Bulbapedia for the quote but it isn't up yet. Oh, well. That was still awkward as hell to read. XD

Whoever thought that was a good idea needs to be demoted. That thing is ugly as sin. It doesn't help that Slurpuff itself scares me to tears.

For me, the Slurpuff dress wasn't as awkward as having to wear a feminine outfit to get it. I ended up buying this pink frilly dress and all this other pink stuff (that I would never wear in real life) because nothing else I could find was "feminine" enough. Can't I be feminine without wearing nothing but pink? :-(

The Slurpuff dress is still awkward though, especially where they put Slurpuff's face. :-|

I got it just by wearing some stuff from Anistar's Boutique. None of it was pink. I would never have bought a dress just to get the Slurpuff Dress. I just happened to talk to one of the girls in the boutique who talked about laces and ribbons and just put on some stuff I bought from there.

I remember buying some stuff from there too, and it didn't work for some reason. Maybe I just wasn't wearing enough of it. There were a few times where I changed clothes and a bunch of flowers appeared (which I guess means it's feminine) but then I still couldn't get the Slurpuff dress, so I figured I had to be wearing a dress.

Oh well. :rolleyes: I guess it doesn't really matter now.
 
Well, Pokemon isn't exactly famous for female characters that don the most realistic, conservative outfits...

On another note, I actually laughed out loud at the reference to the creepy hiker than hits on Touya finally finding love, as well as all the awkwardly-placed internet memes the NPCs are spouting. Something tells me the localization team had a lot of fun.

I keep tipping that poor Furfrou, hoping one day it'll achieve its dream. But no, it's all for naught. Poor thing's a background NPC. ;_;

Just...the sheer amount of times I keep forgetting what I was planning on doing and flying to Camphrier Town instead.
 
I checked Pokemon Amie to play with my Rampardos

and I discovered he was surprisingly small? I mean, Aggron takes up two screens, but Rampardos fits easily in the bottom screen without any trouble. I always thought Rampardos was a massive pokemon, but then again, it's 160cm (5'03")

It still felt weird though.
 
The first time I went through the Scary House, I found it to be very weird... An odd background when he's telling it, and then a ton of emphasis at the end of it plus it was zoomed in. I didn't find it scary though.
 
You know that old man in Anistar City? You know how you can give a sub-level 5 'mon?

I gave him a Weedle I caught early in my journey. Hopefully she does not attack him... :scared:

Okay, I don't know where this goes, but...

I thought I'd try Wonder Trade and thought "I should first give something which isn't too rare because I might get something crap in return."

I gave a lvl 11 Driffloon. What did I get?

A Lapras with Freeze-Dry.

I didn't get to the point where they give you a Lapras, so I groaned when I saw it. I traded with the same guy again and gave him an Absol, but I still felt awkward.

I gave him an Eevee too!
When I remembered to come back and read the note he left I worried about how long Eevee had just been sitting there in its ball with no food. :/
