What was your first Shiny Pokémon in SV?

Due to the sheer number of Pokémon that spawn on the overworld every minute, it seems like quite a lot of people have been encountering random shinies in this game. Have you stumbled across any yet?

My first was a full-odds Shiny Luvdisc during the main story.

I have come across an odd colored Silicobra totally randomly. I am surprised I even acknowledged the coloration difference. I caught it afterwards, but I only play with the Pokémon (or forms) that are revealed in the generation of its game, so I pc'd it.

I also came across a shiny female Oinkologne, and she was really cute. But its nature killed it for me, would be a huge burden on the team with that nature lol

I did get a shiny Makuhita encounter, but due to me being dumb, and because I had autosave on, I killed it and never got it back. Later on I got a shiny Hoppip out of one of those five group ones. That I did catch.

So people, if you care for shinies at all, do play with autosave off and hard save when you see one. If you fail it you can reset the game and try again, like PLA.

My first was a shiny female Nymble. I went after it because I thought it was an entirely new Pokémon that I hadn't caught yet and it nearly ran away from me. This was full odds.

Funnily, I got a shiny Lokix out of the blue in the bamboo area. And you got its pre-evo. Cool!

I caught a shiny bonsley the other day. It’s been sitting in the box though since it doesn’t quite fit the current theme of my team.

Shroodle. I was idling and it ran up to me. I ended up evolving it into a Grafaiai.

My second was a Corvisquire not but 10 minutes later. My third was a Orthworm an hour later. I had no buffs, no outbreaks, and all three of them were full odds. The orthworm replaced the titan orthworm on my team.

Swablu is the first and only shiny I’ve encountered so far, and I’m pretty much done with the game at this point.

My first is a Snorunt, during the main story. Unfortunately male... I would've rather been able to evolve it into Froslass. But a shiny is a shiny. And I got a second shiny not even an hour later in Cetoddle. Both entirely full odds, so some crazy luck!

I've caught two Shiny Pokémon so far: Psyduck and Scyther.

I had a feeling that I'd find myself a Blue Psyduck sooner or later, as it seems to be the one Shiny Pokémon I always find. Pokémon GO? I've found five so far, four outside of my home state. PLA? My first Mass Outbreak that resulted in a Shiny Pokémon was Psyduck. I later caught a Shiny Golduck by pure chance. And Violet? Found one right outside the Navi Squad's base, just after I cleared it and defeated Atticus.

In preparation for the gym battle with Ryme to level-grind my newly caught Cetoddle and Glimmet (now Glimmora), I went to the Casseroya Lake to take advantage of the Level 50 Slowpoke for level-grinding, and also to grab some items. In a stroke of luck, I found myself a Shiny Scyther on a clifftop and caught him. I noticed the sheer irony of the situation; I really wanted to catch some Shiny Scyther in PLA, but never found one despite the perfect entry and several mass outbreaks. Yet in Violet, I find one in a few short weeks, let alone without a Shiny Charm or a bonus for Bug-types. For now, I'm just going to wait until Black Augurites become legally available so I can evolve him into Kleavor.

Rookadie! I encountered a shiny toxtricity in a cave a few days ago but hadn't defeated the 2-3rd titan yet so I couldn't jump up and catch it. . . .

I caught a shiny grimer a few days ago so that was pretty cool

A Pawmi in a pack of Pawmi with a Pawmo leading it. I just happened to look and noticed that the Pawmi was different colored than the rest. I was able to engage in battle with it and simply chucked a Great Ball at it, nabbing it. This allowed me to learn that the shiny sparkling sound and overworld sparkle effect that LA had didn't carry over, which was mildly annoying as I was in that area exploring and going for an item that happened to be near that Pawmi pack, noticing by pure chance that one was different colored.

It was shortly followed by a shiny Hoppip within 5 minutes, which was also purely random and I would've missed it because its green color matched the grass, only realizing it was shiny when I moved too close to pick up a sparkly spot and triggered the battle by accident.

The lack of an overworld effect that would reveal the shiny means that shiny hunting (or even just finding random shinies) is going to be a royal pain, as you can very easily miss one, especially given the fact that some shinies are only a shade or two different from their normal forms. Not a good idea, GF.

I myself have not found any (might have missed some without knowing), but a friend of mine found a shiny Lechonk in the first 30 minutes of playing the game.

A full-odd shiny Tarountula I found and caught not too long into the main story, which I won't evolve since I don't like the evolution. And since then I've caught another two full-odd shinies. One is a Skiddo that I nearly missed because I thought it's just the lighting that made the colour white and another is a Tropius that I nearly missed too because the shiny is not that different from the regular one.

I am surprised that I've found that much shiny as my luck with one is usually not that good.
