I believe Hayashigame's (Grotle's) new attack is Rock Climb.
And Yukikaburi (Snover) did use Wood Hammer.

And Kengo just gained a ton of awesome points for being Jun's best friend. I hope they meet up in another episode.

The new ending is VERY meh-ish in my opinion. And I liked the Pochama ending...

The song is just there and the visuals are the two pichu competing against each other and flying around with Pikachu,Croagunk,Pochama and Buneary on flowers. Then the normal Pichu grows its trademark ear. Meh..

Jun and Kengo being best friends... oh man, for a while I was thinking something about that when episode 122 was announced. Breifly; "what if, unlike Hikari, Jun knows Kengo and the two are good buddies?" although I never mentioned it here as I don't really like posting speculations. So I'm really surprised it actually became true.

Now I think I like Kengo even more than I previously did.

I felt the Snover episode was better of the two episodes. Snover was an interesting character. And while I was smiling when Jun and Kenny were best friends, the rest of the episode was "meh" to me. But the Ariados scene does get some major points, even if it was out of place, it was still nice to see.

So did Piplup give a reason why it didn't want to evolve? Is it exactly like Pikachu?

Edit: I think Dawn was pretty annoyed that Jun knew who Kenny was. Best friends, but doesn't know Dawn.

The picture quality is more improved than I thought it would be, but I still love the widescreen part the most. I thought they did a great job using that extra room. It's amazing how much better High Touch looks for example.

I take back what I said about the title card and eye catches. Those were both really awesome. And thank God that's the only place NE Pichu pops up.

I really liked the new ending. Fun animation and a catchy song. I like this one a lot better than the last.

Both of the episodes were pretty good even though you knew exactly what was going to happen. Yukikaburi wasn't going to get caught, and Pochama wasn't going to evolve. There were some great moments though:

Hayashigame learning Rock Climb

Yukikaburi was pretty cool

Jun and Kengo being best friends is awesome

The motto was freaking awesome

Jun is even more awesome

The Ping Pong tournament was nicely setup

Great Hikari/Pochama dynamic

Pochama deciding not to evolve felt more of a homage to the Pikachu episode rather than a ripoff


Can we keep Jun please?

So then when do the fangirls start making kengoXjun threads?
Anyway awesomeness came from that episode. They are a trio of best friends and they all have a stage of the piplup line. I kind of like it cause you know it makes sense. Jun is the more experienced while Kengo is in between and dawn is the NooB.

YAY, POSSIBLE BACKSTORY?

I find it HILARIOUS that Kengo/Hikari were supposed to be "best childhood friends," Jun doesn't remember Hikari, and Hikari didn't know that Jun/Kengo had something going on.
And I find it even more hilarious that Kengo's otherwise docile personality could be "BESTTO FURENZU" with Jun's hyperactive and arrogant one.
Oh, the fangirl possibilities....~ <3

Sure they are best friends but hikari didnt know anything cause i is a secret love. Or they just dont want to ruin anything early XD

I don't see Jun/Barry being that more experienced than Dawn or Kenny. Well definitely not Ash/Paul level. He probably started a little before Kenny did.

That one pic with Barry having his hands on Kenny really gives the impression that they're brothers with Jun being the elder. His freakish height helps too.

That reminds before Barry was introduced on the show everyone thought that Kenny was pearl's equivlant lol also how does grotle know rock climb if you
cant use the move unless you have the snow piont gym badge in the game

I loved the new title card thing it looks really cool also did they shorten Dawn's skirt in this episode or have I just watched to many dub episodes

That only counts outside battle. You can still use it in battle. Besides, badges work differently in the anime - Ash's Charizard didn't obey him after he earned the Earth Badge.

I loved these two episodes. Can Jun get any more awesome? I frickin' LOVE the guy!
Especially when he and his Empert (gah, I stink at remembering names) pushed Ash, Kenny and Brock down the hallway because dammit Ping Pong's the way to go! Wut.

Or when he once again clonked right into Ash. What was up with Ash's hat? XD I lol'd so bad at that even though it was rather corny. Then again it was all just crazy as soon as Jun entered the screen. You can just feel how everything speeds up because he's there.

That Snover. So adorable! Natsume's style keeps enthralling me even though it may seem silly. I just love it. Shush!
I never would've expected the Snover episode to focus so much on Grotle. That was really nice, Grotle really needed some well-deserved focus.

One thing bugged me, though.
Eating Snover's... hrm... balls. Oh god DX

Oh, Kenny, a trillion bonus points to you for being Jun's BFF. <3 I thought they might get along well, but best friends? That's just awesome.

Shoot, Jun/Kenny already has a name I can't make sense of.
